Soft plan

Hope you all enjoyed the series of reblog reviews this past week! And I’ll be posting the first of my own full reviews tomorrow. The idea at the moment is to post one or two full reviews each weekend and three to five reblog reviews each week. Still also toying with the idea of doing brand/line reviews, but that’s on the backburner for now.

Not quite a comeback

Hi all! As you can probably tell, the move from Tumblr really hasn’t gone so well thus far. Keeping up the energy for writing posts for my own pairs – or even “reblogging” pics from elsewhere – has been a lot harder than thought.

That said, now that summer’s starting, I’m going to try to revive the blog, even if it’s a very low-key, slower pace. FWIW, I have a bunch of pictures of myself taken, just none of the associated write-ups done. We’ll see how this goes.

Random bedtime outfit

Me, modeling red with hints of blue!

One thing I’ve added to my blog since moving here to WordPress is a new tag for “outfits”. As I’ve mentioned before, I love pairing underwear with other items of clothing; I noticed while fixing categories and links and such that I talked about outfit fun enough to think it deserves an official tag.

Anyway, here I am with an Andrew Christian Almost Naked trunk and a Modus Vivendi talk top, ready to head to bed tonight. Felt sexy enough to consider sharing my sleepy style with y’all. 🙂

Getting back on track

Just spent parts of the last two days going through and fixing links in all my old posts as well as adding categories to them! Just about every post of the last 8m or so now has a category and fixed links, which amount to a bit more than half of the blog overall.

Anyway, the other things I did today was take some new pics! I go back to work tomorrow, but hopefully I’ll get around to writing new reviews soon. I think, once I get a queue built up again, I’ll try for a post every four days or so.

I’ll try to intersperse those with “reblog” reviews like I have previously, but I’ll have to figure out exactly what that means here on WordPress. I may rely on finding pictures on Tumblr still or on Sharesome (yes I’ve joined there too) to copy and paste into this blog. I don’t know of an easy way to “reblog” WordPress posts from other people, or even how to easily find other men’s underwear blogs to find such posts in.

I do have some other ideas of what to do for posts, though. I’m thinking of doing grouped reviews of brands overall, or specific lines of underwear within brands (i.e. the “Feel” line from Ergowear, or any “Almost Naked” pairs from Andrew Christian). Whatever I do, I’ll try to keep posts coming here!

All imported!

Everything from my Tumblr has now been migrated here! I’ll still have to correct links, change some tags into categories, and I kinda want to figure out all the customization options to make the posts here look better, but I’ll get to all that eventually.

In the meantime, I think I’ll be taking a break from making new posts. I’ll start adding fresh content in the new year, assuming I haven’t migrated again.

Welcome to WordPress I guess!

Undie Reviews DC is my underwear review blog that, until today, had been located on Tumblr. Unfortunately, the nature of reviewing underwear means that a number of my posts no longer met Tumblr’s updated community guidelines. As such, I’ve been searching around for the best place to move my blog. Landed here on WordPress for its immediacy and ease of importing things from Tumblr; TBD if I stay here permanently, but for now: hi! =-D

Will be migrating my Tumblr posts here shortly, once I get this officially marked as mature (to be safe).

New community guidelines

As I’m sure everyone has already noticed, Tumblr has decided adult content will be disallowed from the platform starting two weeks from now, and their bots have been going around flagging everything adult – and, as many people are pointing out, much more than that. (Their bot wasn’t trained very well, and seems to be flagging posts from LGBTQ creators with alarming frequency, even if the posts themselves are entirely innocent.)

UndieReviews DC is not, persay, and entirely innocent blog, as the nature of reviewing underwear means you’re always very close to (and sometimes directly showing) male genitals and/or ass.

I try to keep this blog relatively professional, as all of my reviews – self-produced or reblogged – stay away from showing erect willies, even covered, and only 5-10% of my posts even expose the genitals to begin with. That said, mesh/sheer underwear and pairs that are designed to expose your junk with, of course, expose the genitals. It’s the nature of the subject matter.

About ¾ of my self-produced reviews in the past two or so months have been flagged; not of my older reviews have been flagged yet, but I assume that’s only because the bots are crawling backwards in time, because none of my recent reviews directly expose the family jewels, but some of my older reviews clearly do. I’ve asked for direct review of everything that’s been flagged before, as well as sent Support a message asking how viable this blog will be in the future simply due to its nature. If I get negative reactions to either, I think I may just have to jump ship. =-(

New phone

My previous phone has been on its last legs for a while now, so over Thanksgiving I got a new one. It might take some time to create the newer posts, since the camera takes photos that are much squarer than my previous phone did. (It’s generally a good think – the narrow dimension is much wider now, and I think even the long dimension is a bit better.) I like the dimensions of the photos in my posts, though, so I’ll see what I can do with cropping. X-D

The pictures will be a lot clearer now, though! At least they should be – I usually shrink them for the blog anyway, so maybe that extra clarity might be lost either way.

Selling off pairs?

Idea that’s been floating around in the back of my mind for a while…

With as much underwear as I buy, I’m going to get pairs that don’t fit me well, that I just don’t like for whatever reason, or pairs that sit unworn for extended periods of time. None of these are objectively “bad” pairs of underwear, (though there might be some I really do recommend against, but that should be rare,) so in theory other people might enjoy them even if I don’t.

Would people be interested in maybe buying some of my old pairs? They’ll always been clean and, unless they’re an older pair that’s simply fallen out of rotation, will be essentially unworn. I’d probably price them slightly under whatever I paid for them.

Thoughts/interest?

Review #50

I’m hitting a big milestone with today’s upcoming review, which I thought felt like it would be fun to point out. =3

It’s gonna be from one of my favorite brands, and I’ll be trying a few minor things to hopefully improve the pictures: I’m saving them bigger, and also making a tiny gap between each panel. Let me know if it’s a good change or not!
