This here is the super-colorful Apex Brief from Marco Marco – which, sadly, does not seem to be available any more, although Marco Marco does have their Flux line of underwear that features the exact same paneling pattern as Apex and the exact same fabric makeup, (82% Polyester, 18% Spandex,) just with much lower color variety in any single pair. It’s a bit of a shame, because I love just how colorful these are, notwithstanding how much the neon of these colors pops so much! But at least the Flux line is quite nice too. Also, I can’t find any pictures of the backside of the Apex brief, but the Flux briefs all have this open window on the backside just beneath the waistband, so that’s fun!

I do really love the paneling on this pair. The block colors give a really strong appearance while helping everything “pop” well. The paneling on the pouch in particular provides some visual enhancement to the already-impressive pouch shape, which is great too.

I don’t think I’ve reviewed (or bought) Marco Marco before, and it’s a designer I’ve always had my eye on somewhat – and with how fun this particular pair is, you can probably see why!

The print(?) pattern here is one of Marco Marco’s most colorful, what with the strong contrast between blue and white in the background stripes, layered with pink flamingos and red vertical stripes on each seam. Even when Marco Marco goes simpler than this, their color choice is usually pretty impactful anyway, as are their distinctive waistbands. (That bright pink pair with telltale waistband I couldn’t identify before? Also Marco Marco.) In fact, this “Nautical” design with the blue stripes and pink flamingos can get even more fun on Marco Marco’s “Half Moon” Brief design as opposed to this regular brief. 😉

And that’s a good segue into discussion about the cut/structure of this pair! One other thing that I’ve always noticed about Marco Marco – aside from its eye-catching colors, prints, and waistbands – is that most Marco Marco pairs have a nicely-shaped pouch as well. It’s more noticeable on their “Core” briefs, which are solid color and show off the shape of the pouch a bit more, but you can still see even on this Nautical brief that the pouch comes outward very nicely!

Crap, I should know what brand this is just by the waistband; it’s so damn distinctive….

But I like the pink pair w/ black waistband, the look really works here. Pouch isn’t super-impressive, but doesn’t need to be… X3

Looks like comfy material too
