Box Menswear – F**k You Boxer Briefs – print – Medium

096

Material: 95% Cotton, 5% Elastane, and definitely comfortable! The material stretches nicely, and largely just molds itself to your shape. You can feel the fabric there, but it’s not constraining in any way, and has just a hint of cool feeling to it.
Aesthetic: Not sure exactly how to put into words the aesthetic here, as this pair looks somewhat newspaper-ish from a distance, with the brand text almost looking like a headline along the waistband. Between the print, you can also make out the hems fairly clearly, which is a little visually distracting, and not in a good way. Still, you get to read the “F**k You” text if you take a closer look, and getting to take a closer look at a pair of underwear in wear is always nice! (The print is not censored like I’m doing here.)
Waistband: A bit taller than most waistbands, consistent in that sense with the waistband on the Box briefs. It’s a little bit of a softer construction, though, and a bit more plain on the inside too. Generally wears at or slightly below your waist.
Pouch: As with many boxer-briefs, the pouch is stretched out and spacier near the bottom where it connects to the legs than the pouch on comparable briefs are. Interestingly, though, I like this pouch better because the fabric and stretch and mold around your junk better than the brief I previously reviewed. In other words, the pouch here can still provide support around the lower areas quite well, and more so based on conforming to your junk rather than conforming your junk to it.
Backside: The backside here does give your cheeks some good definition on the underside, and the print is nice to look at, but I would say here that the pair doesn’t do an A+ job of giving your cheeks a good overall shape – IMO, my rump definitely looks bigger in the somewhat-flabby way in this pair. That said, it still feels very good to wear!
Legs: I like the length on these, and they’re generally pretty comfortable, including well-made hems at the end of each legs. The comfort of those hems has maybe allowed them to more-easily roll up, which they will do a fair amount, as shown below.
Other: Yes, they do have a pair that says “F**k Me” on it too. That one is typically sold out, while this one is typically not.
Overall: 3.5/5 – While I’m only giving these a fairly average rating, largely based on the less-flattering backside and rolling-up leg hems, I still quite like how these feel to wear. Definitely a nice pair to wear, and if you can get the “F**k Me” instead of the “F**k You” pair, all the more fun!
Great for: Loungewear
Good for: Everyday wear, Sleepwear

Box Menswear – briefs – Pink – Small

092

Material: 92% Cotton, 8% Spandex, which feels relatively solid and not as stretchy as some other pairs I’ve reviewed, but is still quite comfy and not “heavy” at all.
Aesthetic: Simple and owning it, which just enough hue and just the right shape to keep it fairly interesting. The black and white of the waistband with a big, bold BOX logo font and center, adds to that air of confidence.
Waistband: Maybe a bit taller than other waistbands I’ve seen, (the waistband is taller than the hip bands,) and also a bit more solid, but not to the point of being tough. Interestingly, the inside of the waistband has an unexpected grey-and-white banding pattern to it. Nor sure what that’s for, but it makes the pair that much more interesting for the wearer. I go back and forth between wearing this directly on the hips (lower front hems aligning with the hip-thigh fold) or between the hips and waist (thinnest part, just below the navel) and both work for me.

Pouch: The pouch doesn’t look like much at first glance, with relatively little shape built into the pair compared to many other “big pouch” pairs, but the rounded-out shape is there and it honestly works quite well. The fabric makes it so that the pouch forms around your junk fairly well and holds you in without feeling limiting, which is good.
Backside: Fairly plain, but the contrast between the white, almost-shiny waistband and the color of the fabric still lets it look nice enough. Definitely not full coverage! And you will occasionally feel the hems when you sit, but it’s a very small effect. A tag is printed on the inside of the backside and is somewhat visible from behind.
Legs: Quite good, especially considering that this is a Small and not a Medium! The one problem many people encounter with briefs is that the legs feel like they cut it a little bit, and Box avoids that completely with their briefs here somehow. That’s not to say they aren’t snug – they are – but you probably won’t ever feel the need to stretch things out or readjust at any point, which is very nice.
Overall: 4.5/5 – IDK if this is a slightly high rating for a rather plain pair, but it’s simply that good at what it wants to be. If you don’t like simple, everyday, fly-less briefs, then it won’t be for you, but if you go for that style, this is such a great pair.
Great for: Everyday wear
Good for: Sexy wear

This model is sporting both a Box boxer and a CK t-shirt! Docking this outfit points for using different brands, but it actually goes together quite well with the colors – the black “BOX” on the boxer matches the t-shirt color, while the white of the CK name matches the boxer main color. Not a pairing I would have gone with, but it works pretty well!

I’m a bit surprised in the fact that I haven’t reviewed any of my Box underwear yet – I have multiple pairs and, when I got them, thought I had written a review or two. Apparently not! Anyway, Box is a pretty good brand for basic, everyday underwear, with one or two more fun pairs thrown in with various prints. The fabric is generally good, and as you can see from the picture here, the pouches are usually pretty good too! I think this model would do himself a favor if he juuuust smoothed the boxer out a bit better to get out those wrinkles, but you can probably tell from those that the fabric is fairly soft, so I guess that’s good!

Blanc – Enhance Briefs – Black – Medium

091

Material: 95% Cotton, 5% Spandex, which is Blanc’s well-made go-to.
Aesthetic: Black is supposedly a slimming color, which is hard to do with briefs, especially when they have relatively short hips bands, but this is still a fairly impactful pair visually! The black is fairly bold and strong, I like the color contrast from the waistband.
Waistband: As typical for Blanc pairs, the waistband is a bit sturdier than the main fabric but otherwise essentially has the same softness and stretchiness to it.
Pouch: While I think the Enhance design doesn’t work well for a boxer, I think it works amazingly well for briefs! With the lower edges of the pouch coming up right between your legs as the overall edges of the pair, there’s no question as to where your junk fits in the pair, and it typically fills the pouch up very well. Of note, the paneling that helps make up the pouch shape ends up in a noticeably different pattern compared to other briefs, with the pouch panel vertical edges much closer to the middle of the pair than with the standard fit briefs – a difference not seen between Blanc’s standard and Enhance boxers. Honestly, I really like this pouch, even though I’m not really a fan of being forced to wear my willie pointing down. It’s very grabbable. X-D And of course it does a good job of making your junk look nice and big. The downside here is that the willie-down design means lots of skin-on-skin contact with your balls inside the pouch, and if you’re not careful during the day, it’s possible to get your balls squeezed between your legs. So watch out for that! Despite these drawbacks, I think the Enhance pouch has more pros than cons on the briefs here.
Backside: Like the standard fit lilac brief, the backside is not full-coverage, so there are some cheek issues if you’re sensitive to that stuff. The print-on tag in back can be faintly seen in the right light, but it’s nowhere near as obvious as with the lilac brief.
Legs: Basically the same as the lilac brief here.
Overall: 4/5 – I wouldn’t say the Enhance pouch is strictly better than the standard fit pouch for these briefs – I think I like both equally – but it is a fun feature on its own, so I’m giving this brief a half point more.
Great for: Sexy wear
Good for: Everyday wear, Sleepwear

Blanc – Enhance Boxers – Grey – Medium

090

Material: 95% Cotton, 5% Spandex, as with the Lilac brief.
Aesthetic: While these come very close to the “casual grey” look that I love, something also seems very intentional about this pair, to the point it pulls me out of that causal-ness as well. I think I would’ve like a darker waistband here too.
Waistband: Same as before, a fairly good waistband overall that’s quite similar to the main fabric in several properties.
Pouch: Blanc’s “Enhance” pouches are designed to really show off your willie with a very specific design that only works when pointing downward. For Blanc’s boxers, the difference between standard fit and Enhance is really only in the point of the pouch, which I think takes a bit away from the “enhancing” feature. That is, the sides of the pouch are still somewhat spread out by their connection to the rest of the fabric, which draws away some of the potential support. Also, those extra connections mean your willie has to be in a very specific place to truly fill the pouch out. For some guys, such as the Blanc models, this really works; but it’s not going to work for everyone. I’ve noticed on occasion a tiny flap-like feature that would in theory be filled out at the tip of the pouch, even when I try to angle things to fill it out fully, so it’s a bit inefficient of a design.
Backside: Nothing to excitedly write home about here, but there’s nothing bad either, and I do think it actually does a nice job of showing of a round shape for the lowest curve of your cheeks – it raises them up and away from the thighs to make your cake fairly visible. Also, the print-on tag is NOT visible from behind here, so that’s nice.
Legs: Pretty comfy I guess! Not quite as long as I like, but thankfully not tight in any way.
Other: I honestly wanted to get a fun-color Enhance pair, but none were available in a color I like and size I needed when I was ordering. Hence my two Enhance pairs are plainer colors, and the Lilac brief I got was a standard fit. Hoping to get a nice pair that gets both qualities sometime in the future!
Overall: 3/5 – for me personally, the Enhance pouch doesn’t work on Blanc’s boxers, so the excess fabric on the pouch is a little distracting. Nothing else really wrong about the pair, though.
Great for: Loungewear(?)
Good for: Everyday wear, Sleepwear

Blanc – Standard Fit Briefs – Lilac – Medium

089

Material: 95% Cotton, 5% Spandex, soft enough with a very nice stretch!
Aesthetic: Blanc, as a line, goes for simplicity, and they honestly do it pretty darn well! The solid lilac on this pair is unique enough to give the pair a lot of visual interest even while being a single, solid color, the waistband color complimenting it nicely, and the stylized “Blanc” logo on the waistband gives a touch of fancy to the pair.
Waistband: Honestly quite similar to the main fabric in terms of softness and stretchiness, so that’s an interesting aspect.
Pouch: Being a “standard fit” brief, there’s nothing particularly exciting about the pouch here. By the nature of the fabric, it’ll conform to your natural shape fairly well, so that’s nice. Allows for good movement while also holding you in place when not moving.
Backside: The view of the backside is easily disrupted by the fact that the print-on case information on the inside is clearly seen on the outside as well, but at least with that “tag” it’s nice in how you don’t feel it at all, even if it’s really easy to see. The lower edges of the cheeks are designed to be a little high, so it’s not complete full-coverage – you’ll probably feel those hems across the lower rounds of your cheeks from time to time. (It’s worth noting that many – but not all – briefs on the Blanc site are listed as “slim fit”, with the suggestion to buy a size up. I don’t recall if these lilac briefs had that disclaimer.)
Legs: Fairly comfy, nothing above or below what you would expect for some nice, basic briefs.
Overall: 3.5/5 – as basic, featureless briefs go, these are really quite nice! Perfect for those grab-and-go mornings, especially if you want to feel just a bit special with your everyday pairs. Only reason I’m not giving them a 4 is because of the cross-cheek hem being clearly felt from time to time.
Great for: Everyday wear
Good for: Sleepwear

Sukrew – U Sprint – White – S

072

Material: 80% Polyamide, 20% Elastane on the main paneling, and 90% Polyamide, 10% Elastane on the side paneling, which is really interesting information to be given! I hugely appreciate it, especially with how many pairs I’ve reviewed with very clearly multiple types of fabric but no separate descriptions. Anyway, both types of fabric here are clearly synthetic, but they’re soft and lightweight enough that you never get that somewhat clammy, cloying, occasionally stiff feeling that synthetic materials can give. The side paneling in particular can stretch to give a mesh-like, slightly-see-through effect, though it’s not a huge effect.
Aesthetic: I would describe the aesthetic of this pair as “athletic and playful”. The contrast between the blue and white panels just gives me the impression of motion, as if the wearer is very swift, maybe like a running or cycling uniform. The angled, off-kilter print of the brand name in a thin, stylized font of the blue panels, to me, adds that spontaneous aspect to the overall aesthetic.
Waistband: Very nice! A little on the tall side, which is good for what this pair wants to be, as it helps grip you. It’s soft and stretchy enough to fit among other waistbands, though it’s definitely a synthetic waistband, as it’s not quite as soft or natural-feeling as many of the others I’ve recently reviewed. The tag in back is quite interesting, as there’s both a construction of sorts on the back of the waistband itself as well as a hang-down tag. Both of these are very soft – and both feel like different materials from the rest of the pair and from each other – though the size of the hang-down tag may make it occasionally fold over itself if you’re moving around weirdly enough.
Pouch: None! This pair comes from Sukrew’s (now-discontinued) U line of underwear, which all feature relatively flat fronts with an opening for your junk to hang out freely. Like I mentioned with the AussieBum Orbit, this then means we need to look at the positioning, tightness, and comfort of the hole itself. And like with the Orbit trunks, the U Sprint hits all three aspects amazingly well. I can’t really say much different about this pair than I did with the Orbit, with the small comment about the different fabric and, particularly, that the opening on the U Sprint is a thin, slightly more rigid edge than the hem-covered opening of the Orbit. Also, this isn’t exactly a comment about the opening itself, but since the U Sprint has much longer legs than the Orbit, this pair will never subject you to scrotum-on-thigh skin contact, which is a nice plus.
Backside: Nothing to incredibly write home about, as it’s mostly just a big expanse of white, but the fabric hugs your skin in a way that the pair gives you a nice visual shape, especially with how it highlights the curve between each cheek and its respective thigh. The material is also thin enough that you can easily see the hang-down tag, so it is a small visual distraction, but I’d write that off as nothing to worry about. And even as the back is mostly just that expanse of white, the blue side paneling provides a nice framing.
Legs: I love the length on these legs! As I’ve mentioned in the past, my thighs are thick enough that short legs tend to either slide up or have the hems roll over themselves; long legs avoid these problems. The material is relatively low-friction, so the legs slide past each other very nicely as you walk or run. The synthetic nature of the fabric can come up every once in a while as a very very low-grade itch, but it’s rare and only really noticeable if you aren’t moving around. The only other minor criticism with the legs is the the hems of the leg opening are slightly less stretchy than the rest of the pair, which can make them feel somewhat tight at times.
Overall: 4.5/5 – I absolutely love this pair. The only reason I’m not giving it a full 5/5 is that the synthetic nature of the fabric is somewhat noticeable in a few situations; otherwise, this is about as perfect as you can get with an open front pair of underwear.
Great for: Sex wear, Sexy wear, Sleepwear, Loungewear
Good for: Activewear, Everyday wear

Sukrew – Full V Brief – Yellow & Black – S

069

Material: 80% Polyamide, 20% Elastane, and it definitely feels a bit synthetic. Not synthetic to the point of being entirely uncomfortable, but still probably situational. Quite lightweight, though, which is nice (though the lightweight nature is a bit offset by how tight the pair is – which I think is by design, but also probably partially due to this being a small instead of a medium).
Aesthetic: Impact! The yellow and black color palette is almost always a quite striking choice, and this pair is no exception. Also the paneling itself and layout of these colors certainly helps accentuate the look.
Waistband: Honestly quite nice! Good height, definitely not too short, and relatively soft, even as most of the pair is a bit tighter/stiffer. A soft and somewhat large tag hangs on the inside of the front of the waistband, which could in theory not work well with your junk in the same area, but not only is the tag very soft, but the nature of the pouch means that your junk is kept low enough that the tag will never bother them.
Pouch: Sukrew was known for their pouches, in two specific ways: the Full line, with pouches that are highly shaped to make your junk look rather impressive, and the U line, with no pouch at all (yes, letting your junk hang free – I’ll cover this line later!) This is a Full pair, meaing it sports the large, forward-facing pouch is present here, and it definitely holds your junk in such a way as to really make you look plumped up even when fully soft! (I think the black bulge of this pair somewhat diminishes the apparent size, not helped by the fact I personally was quite soft here, but you can also see the Sukrew reblog review I did the other day.) Only two small downsides to this for me: one, the only option is to wear your willie downward, which isn’t generally the way I like to hang, and two, the somewhat synthetic nature of the fabric means that your willie and sack are down against each other in a pouch that can make things ever so slightly sticky. Putting all your junk in one pouch is probably why the Full line does such a good job of making your apparent size seem bigger, and the shape does a great job of keeping your junk away from your thighs, but does come at the slight cost of the skin-on-skin contact between your parts themselves.
Backside/Straps: These are a little on the tight side – more in the sense of holding their shape very well (i.e. being somewhat non-elastic), not in the sense of it cutting in to you in any way, as they actually fit very comfortably. And even while holding their shape well, they’re also sufficiently very soft. I like the width of these, but as you can see from the photo, they straps do sometimes roll over themselves; it’s not enough to really be that noticeable, though.
Other: I’ve surprised myself by realizing that this is the first “jock brief” I’ve ever truly reviewed! The only other time I’ve directly mentioned jock briefs before was to mention that I owned the AC jock brief shared in a reblog review. I need to fix that. X-D Anyway, on most jockstraps, I like to mention whether they past the “squat test” with letting the junk out below the pouch. Just to be clear, jock briefs do NOT have this benefit.
Overall: 3/5 – a damn sexy and overall relatively comfortable pair, though just a hair tight overall, and while I love the pouch, I have grown quite used to having my willie and my sack either directly separate or at least allowed to move independently, which isn’t possible with the Full pouch here. I definitely like having this in my collection, though it’s an occasion pair and not an everyday pair for me – but I can see other people quite enjoying it!
Great for: Sexy wear
Good for: Everyday wear, Sex wear (?), Activewear

This pic is a great example of what Sukrew (a.k.a. the Sexual Unity Krew) is known for – incredible pouches that make you look absolutely hung! The red pouch here has such a telltale shape to it, complete with what appears to be a bit of pleating on the sides so as to help sculpt the shape Sukrew is going for. Solid red is always a bold, powerful, and attention-grabbing choice; the Sukrew logo is also quite stylish. Excellent brief here! (Or maybe one of their thongs? I can’t tell from this view; not that I’m complaining here.)

I’ll be reviewing two Sukrew pairs of my own in the coming month, so keep and eye out for those! I actually bought an order of four Sukrew pairs not long before I had gone inactive last time, so there are definitely part of the collection now and very fun (even if the pandemic has meant I haven’t had the chance to show them off to anyone yet…)

briefsboy25:

TopMan is a brand based in England that I haven’t heard of before. Just from a quick browse of their online store, they seem like a fairly low-key brand. That is, they’ve got underwear in fun colors and fun prints, but it looks like they aren’t trying to push any boundaries with their various cuts or anything like that. Also a pretty plain website in general – more about the business than about trying to make a brand identity.

This particular brief here looks like a fairly good embodiment of the company, just from my first impression. Pretty plain and functional, though nothing to write home about. The fabric looks pretty “flat” and maybe a little on the tighter side; the shape of the pouch is made for simplicity of construction, not for particularly trying to look good (though it certainly doesn’t look bad either). The waistband looks like it’s on the bigger side and a slightly different material – could be fine, but part of me think it could be a little cumbersome too.

Side note: I’ve mentioned before I love pairing underwear with other articles of clothing. This guy’s socks do not match the briefs.
