Andrew Christian – Almost Naked Freedom Jock w/ Show-It – Lime – Small

101

Material: 95% Cotton, 5% Spandex, and unsurprisingly feels very soft and cotton-y while also having a nice bit of stretch – but more on that later. Very lightweight and breathable.
Aesthetic: Lime green main fabric with a deep purple hem and a rainbow waistband can only be summed up by saying “Candy Pop!”. Bright with just the right of amount of intentional jarring, this pair absolutely demands to be looked at. And once you do look, you notice the lack of straps or anything on the back at all, which can absolutely catch you off-guard if you’re not used to seeing sling underwear (a.k.a. strapless jocks, “socks”, or however you want to categorize them).
Waistband: Softer and stretchier than some other waistbands, but otherwise pretty typical. Two-part tag in the back; I don’t recall exactly what it felt like when new, but by now it’s all quite soft (and the hanging part of the tag on my pair is uniformly frayed now).
Pouch: This pair is listed as both “Almost Naked” and “Show-It”, which I generally feel like are two non-compatible styles of AC’s design inventory, as the Show-It necessitates an inner C-ring that conflicts with the free-movement, feels-line-wearing-nothing idea behind Almost Naked, but here I can at least see when they’re both listed. Ahead of the inner C-ring, the pouch itself is fairly large and loose, which does fit that Almost Naked ideology. Still, the Show-It tech limits movement and definitely feels like it’s there, so it’s definitely not Almost Naked. The other big issue that I personally have with this pair is a common worry with slings that, for me, has been exacerbated by sizing, and that’s under-scrotum cut-in. In order for slings to stay on during the day, they usually have to have some level of grip on your anatomy, and sometimes that grip can be too strong, particularly under your junk, which is obviously undesired. You can see in the second picture above that the purple lower hem has come way up high between my thighs, and that’s not even where the underside of the internal C-ring is (see below). My balls have been pulled up incredibly far, giving that cut-in feeling below, meaning I can’t wear this pair for very long at all, and I think part of the reason that the bottom hem of this pair has come up so high is that the pair has stretched horizontally a fair amount to fit around my hips – if I had a larger size, the vertical compression in response to the horizontal stretch wouldn’t be nearly as much, and this pair would probably be a lot more comfortable. That’s why I’m selling this pair, so hopefully someone slimmer than me can really make this pair shine.

Backside/Legs: NA
Overall: 2.5/5 – I mostly rate this on the lower side simply for poor fit, which I don’t normally do, but I’m also not as much a fan of AC’s Show-It design either. It does have its place, though! (Which I may feature in a future review.) In the meantime, I do think this pair is easily a 4/5 or 4.5/5 on looks alone, so that’s on the fun site.

N2N Bodywear – CV6 Cosmic Vintage Trunk – Cosmic print – Medium

097

Material: 92% Rayon, 8% Spandex, and probably some of the softest material I have in my underwear drawer! It’s also very lightweight and stretchy, so plus points for those too.
Aesthetic: This is suuuuch a fun pattern, I absolutely love it!
Waistband: The “waistband” here is barely more than a glorified hem, which adds to the overall sleek look of the pair. It’s a bit tighter than the rest of the pair, but not in a constraining way at all – it stretches just as nicely as the rest of the fabric.
Pouch: N2N’s “NHance” pouch really shines here! It’s the same as seen way back on the cotton boxer I reviewed, and I still love it. Not only is there plenty of shape in the pouch itself to show off your junk, but that hem that loops around the underside does a great job of lifting an hefting you up – and, unlike the cotton boxer, I’ve never had the issue with this pair of it being occasionally a hair to high on the body and undercutting the scrotum a bit.
Backside: The cosmic pattern makes the back look amazing, and the pair hugs your cheeks quite nicely. The hem that goes down the middle of the back actually is designed to come up between your cheeks a little bit, giving a true “lifts and separates” effect here. X-D Even if you’re not used to thongs or wedgies, I would still say to try this pair out, because the bit of fabric sliding in there is very intentionally made and honestly feels “correct” the way they’ve done it. The only real downside here is that the cosmic pattern obscures any of the shaping between or below your cheeks, so you can’t easily see the nice lines you would expect based on the construction of the pair.
Legs: Very nicely done, following along with how good the fabric and waistband already are. As I’ve mentioned on previous pairs, I would probably prefer the legs to be a bit longer, but I still love these.
Other: When I bought these, I had also bought the CV5 Cosmic Vintage Box and CV1 Cosmic Vintage Jock as birthday presents for a friend couple I know. The “Box” was as in box-cut (i.e. square-cut) instead of as in a boxer, as it basically had no legs whatsoever but aside from just enough to distinguish it from a brief. Sadly, I don’t think any of these are easily available… But I do plan to eventually review another NHance-pouch pair of long johns that I’m currently wearing as I draft this post. =-)
Overall: 4.5/5 – If you can find something similar to these and are looking for a soft, comfy pair that also does a great job of showing off your assets, I say absolutely buy them. They’re not quite for everyday wear, though, and if you don’t like having a fabric valley gently edge between your cheeks, these wouldn’t be for you either. But I absolutely love them.

Andrew Christian – Retro Mesh Locker Room Jock – Black – Small

093

Material: 90% Polyamide, 10% Spandex, which isn’t the stretchiest combination around, but it’s definitely very soft and very breathable! The breathability is both from the lightness of the fabric itself and from the obvious fact that this is a mesh pair, in the style of athletic pennies.
Aesthetic: I don’t want to say this is “suave”, because that definitely doesn’t feel right, but the blue here definitely gives a “cool” feel to compliment the slightly edgy feel of the black mesh. It’s not super loud, but it is intriguing and maybe slightly alluring.
Waistband: Pretty typical for AC waistbands! Both in terms of stiffness, stretchiness, and placement above your hips.
Pouch: While this is advertised as an “Almost Naked” pair, there actually is internal structure in this pouch in the Show-It vein with an internal C-ring creating a separate pouch area for your junk. The material and hemming on this feature, though, are stretchy to the point that it doesn’t forcibly push your junk into similar positions to true Show-It pairs, and more gently promotes your package instead.

Backside/Straps: The straps here are very soft and comfy! You might almost think they’re bordering on flimsy with how soft and fairly stretchy they are, but they’re definitely a reliable construction. For this whole area of the pair, there’s more blue than black, giving an almost space-y feel to their pair – and you are looking right at a full moon, after all! I say this pair does a great job of framing your cheeks.
Legs: Not much to say here! Definitely comfortable, soft edges here.
Overall: 4/5 – Jock briefs are an interesting hybrid style that can be somewhat unpopular, but I really like this pair! To the point that I had initially thought of putting this pair up for sale, but while preparing the Sales page and trying to write reviews for each pair, I decided I liked it too much to sell. X-D Not a pair that has a lot of opportunities for wear, if I’m being honest, but it looks and feels damn good.

Andrew Christian – Tighty Whitey Punked V-Clipse Boxer – Orange – Medium

087

Material: 95% Cotton, 5% Spandex, and about what you would expect – very soft, nicely stretchy, lightweight in not incredibly breathable. Honestly pretty similar to the ///Crew Brief/// from the other day, as well as many other more traditionally-made AC underwear.
Aesthetic: The entire “Tighty Whitey Punked” line is all about high contrast colors while having the general profile of traditional tighty whities. The latter point works much better for Punked Briefs – not as much for a Boxer like this, though! And that’s even before you look around back to see the “V-Clipse” aspect of it. (Eclipse, “mooning”, get it?) The orange with cyan piping here almost gives this particular pair of pop-y ’80s vibe, which I think is really fun.
Waistband: Pretty typical as waistbands go, though maybe a tad softer and stretchier than some others.
Pouch: While I love the look of the fly on here, it’s actually completely fake, so that’s not quite so fun. Inside the pouch, though, is AC’s “Show-It” tech with a built-in C-ring, which ostensibly help get your junk up and forward, away from your legs. In practice, this pair can accomplish that well, but this issue here is that the C-ring is so high in the pair, you really need to hike your balls up to get it inside the ring and into the front pouch, which is a tad uncomfortable. The effect is impressive, though! And even if you don’t have the lower edge of the C-ring pull up tightly under your junk, it’s easy enough to just let your willie sit in the front pouch – though wearing the pair this way somewhat defeats the point of the Show-It design.

Backside: I honestly really love the unique shape of the opening back here! This needs to be done more often, as it frames your cheeks really well.
Legs: Barely any length on these, making the pair basically a square cut. While the leg openings are comfortable enough in construction, they’re a little tight on me.
Overall: 3/5 – I would rate these much higher if the built-in C-ring wasn’t so high, as that makes the pair hard for me to wear, especially compared against some of my other AC Show-It pairs. Still, it’s an incredible look, and if your personal anatomy is a bit different than mine, these could work really well!

Seven7 – Boxer Briefs – multiple colors – Medium//Large

085

Material: 93% Cotton, 7% Elastane, overall has a somewhat “flat” feel to it but it still soft and stretchy enough to be perfectly comfortable for everyday wear. Not super breathable, but that doesn’t feel like a big knock against it – this definitely feels like a “office underwear” situation where you wouldn’t pick this pair because you weren’t going to be in a situation where breathability would be an issue anyway.
Aesthetic: Generally very simple; it of course depends on exactly which pair you pick as some have various prints, but even those have a color palette that’s more muted and reserved to begin with – again, a very sort of “office underwear” vibe to them.
Waistband: Fairly typical as waistbands go! Not quite as tall as some others, which I think might be trying to play into that “low profile” fashion trend, but it’s a small effect here.
Pouch: Basically none. X-D There’s just enough extra fabric on the two panels that make up the front so that it doesn’t feel constraining, but there’s absolutely no effort made to provide the pair a good shape to hold your junk. It’s fine for me since I like wearing my willie pointing up, but I can somewhat imagine that this isn’t a great pair for guys who like to point downward, though.
Backside: Surprisingly unlike the relatively flat front, this pair actually shows off a really nice curve for your backside! The plaid on this particular pair also gives some visual interest, so the flat-color pairs might be a bit less to look at, but would still come up under your cheeks quite nicely. There’s a print-on tag at the top of the inside of the back panel, and it’s impossible to notice while wearing – it almost looks like precision-dyed fabric as opposed to something that was printed on!
Legs: Fairly comfy! I’d personally like them to be a tad bit longer, but no real complaints.

Other: I’ve chosen to focus on the plaid pair with the pictures here, which is a Large, but the other four I have are a tan speckled pattern (Medium), light tan plain (Medium), slate (Large), and violet (Medium).
Overall: 3/5 – I went back and forth between 3 or something higher for this pair, because there’s really nothing wrong with it aside from a marginally flat pouch, and since it’s not really meant as a show-off-y pair (while still having a great backside) I didn’t want to count that against the pair too much. That said, it’s a very plain pair, so I ultimately settled on the 3 because I can’t see it being a pair people will every look forward to wearing at all. Still, it’s a great pair for everyday office wear and the like, so definitely worth having in your collection for those days you wake up feeling a little blah and just want something simple to pull on and get the day started. X-D Seven7 is a jeans brand before an underwear brand, so the practicality-minded nature of the pairs makes total sense in that context.
Great for: Everyday wear
Good for: Sleepwear, Loungewear(?)

More outfits! And this one I highly enjoy, for several reasons – non the least of which is the furry muscle model sporting the look. =3

First, the underwear: This is obviously a piece from N2N bodywear, one of my favorite brands, though it’s hard to tell exactly what kind of underwear this is. The pouch here seems like it has a noticeably vertical construction, which *may* be their “nhance” pouch design, but I can’t quite tell. Nothing on their website currently matches the shape exactly with how vertical the sides are, but some come close, so it might just be how well the guy is filling it out.

The fact that I can’t find a good pouch match on their current website speaks is also reflected in the fact that the waistband here – which is an incredibly classic N2N visual design that I love (it’s present on my UN13 trunk) – is *also* not currently available on their website. Everything currently being sold has a busier waistband design of some sort, and there are a few waistband designs available. Stick with what works, people!

Anyway, whether this is a jock or a thong or a bikini, the fabric looks like a classic, soft, cotton-y, stretchy something, and I’m almost sure it’s the “nhance” pouch design, which has always been enjoyable. This honestly works really well with the flannel of his shirt, with the black of the waistband also providing a nice color match. While the torn sleeves may primarily be here to show off his arms, I think it was also necessary to make the “outfit” look work, because long sleeves almost never look good with exposed legs, which you’ll get if you’re trying to show off underwear like this.

Overall, between the pouch, the flannel, and the guy’s body and facial hair, the outfit gives off a “soft” look that also, particularly with the shirt being open and torn-sleeved, strength behind it, with the blue color playing to both aspects as well. A great outfit overall! (And yes, I want both articles of clothing for myself.)

This here is the super-colorful Apex Brief from Marco Marco – which, sadly, does not seem to be available any more, although Marco Marco does have their Flux line of underwear that features the exact same paneling pattern as Apex and the exact same fabric makeup, (82% Polyester, 18% Spandex,) just with much lower color variety in any single pair. It’s a bit of a shame, because I love just how colorful these are, notwithstanding how much the neon of these colors pops so much! But at least the Flux line is quite nice too. Also, I can’t find any pictures of the backside of the Apex brief, but the Flux briefs all have this open window on the backside just beneath the waistband, so that’s fun!

I do really love the paneling on this pair. The block colors give a really strong appearance while helping everything “pop” well. The paneling on the pouch in particular provides some visual enhancement to the already-impressive pouch shape, which is great too.

I’m not sure if this counts as a onesie or a singlet, but either way it’s unfortunately no longer available on Rufskin’s website. I love all the looks that Rufskin puts out, but they’re one of the biggest offenders for everything they make being “limited time” releases, which is a real shame considering how amazing their stuff looks – and this piece is no exception!

The stripe across the middle is one of the two most obvious aspects of this full-body piece. To my eye, it almost looks like a leather/neoprene strap that you would find on a harness, giving this piece a hint of a club/BSDM look to it – which I’m very impressed with, considering the all-white color scheme here. It’s also quite high up on the body, which I think makes the model look a bit taller than he would otherwise by tricking your brain as to exactly where his waist is. (That’s not normally what horizontal stripes do, but that’s the vibe I get here.)

The crotch panel design is… interesting, to say the least! And the fabric of this thing seems both soft and stretchy while still hugging quite close to the body, to the point that you can see this model’s junk and nipples quite clearly!

I’m curious as to what this looks like from the back, but it’s fairly conservative from the front, anatomy visibility notwithstanding of course. X-D Would be interesting to see if I could find this or something similar around somewhere! I’m certainly overdue for providing reviews of full-body underwear and such on my own.

Old Navy – Soft-Washed Flex Briefs – White – M

077

Material: 96% Cotton, 4% Spandex, which seems to be a common theme among many of my recently reviewed pairs! The actual make of this fabric is a bit weightier (and a bit softer?) than recent comparisons – which, as a traditional “whitey tighty”, makes perfect sense and is executed quite well.
Aesthetic: I’ve spoken about the range of sexiness levels for whitey tighties multiple times before, and these fall somewhere in the middle I guess. There’s nothing to accentuate the white-ness of this pair, so you either like it or you don’t. Compared specifically to the CK briefs I reviewed a while back, I think this pair looks a little more polished and professional, doing so while sacrificing a bit of the visual “pop” that CK brought with the colored waistband. And, to be entirely fair, Old Navy also has alternate colorations of this style that are white with a grey waistband, which I think are unambiguously a bit better to look at than the CK briefs from before. Even though the pair I’m wearing here is an inherited pair, (i.e. the amount of wear is similar,) the cut and fabric are still tighter than what CK brought.
Waistband: Overall, very comfy typical waistband, which in this case sits about at the waist.
Pouch: Whitey tighties are known for not having very good pouches in general, and I think this is the one area where the CK brief excels just a bit more – there really isn’t much of a pouch here at all. I’m not sure if it’s just due to the slightly tighter fabric, or if there’s an actual difference in the cut causing this front to be a bit flatter. You can clearly see a single little pleat right where your balls are on this pair, so there definitely is some effort to button things up here. And even though I say there isn’t much of a pouch here, it thankfully doesn’t go the way of actually smushing your junk against you uncomfortably in any way. There’s still a relatively nice cupping feeling and freedom of movement, plus the fabric is so soft, it feels pretty good.
Backside: Very comfy, and as far as tighty-whities go, actually not un-flattering at all! While still covering essentially all of your cheeks, it doesn’t look over-stretched or loose at all, which is a very difficult line to toe! Definitely better than CK briefs before.
Legs: Not much to say about the leg openings on these briefs. Not too loose, nor cutting in to your torso or thighs either.
Other: Shout out to @twoguysin202 on Tumblr, who I frequently chat with (they’ve followed my blog almost since the beginning) and sent me this pair for Christmas! Always fun wearing someone else’s undies. ;-D
Overall: 4/5 – all in all, a great pair! Comfy, doesn’t look bad at all, (unless you hate the whitey tighty look in general,) very easy pair to just throw on for any given day.
Great for: Everyday wear, Sleepwear
Good for: Loungewear

Separatec – Cotton Functional Fly Boxer Briefs – Maroon/Olive/Blue stripes – M

073

Material: 96% Cotton, 4% Spandex, which generally comes across as very soft (and is) but the fabric on these pairs is somewhat thin and sleek. Very good stretch. The website says these are “designed for daily wear” and I think they pretty well nailed it. You know it’s underwear, and it’s comfortable underwear.
Aesthetic: The striping on the pairs, combined with the darker waistband and leg openings, provides a nice bit of visual appeal, more to look at that a solid plain color, but done in a very reserved way. Going with the “designed for daily wear” thing, I can absolutely see these as a pair you would be wearing under your pants at your desk at work, or maybe on a lazy weekend when you’re trying to impress absolutely no one but still feel slightly stylish for yourself. That all said, the choice to pipe the “functional fly” part of the pair (we’ll get to that in a bit) with the darker fabric of the waistband & leg hems gives and impressive visual draw, with the shape almost insinuating a slimming effect or natural curves on its own.
Waistband: Pretty typical as waistbands go; good stretch and soft enough while also staying on fairly well. Wears at or above the hips.
Pouch: Back when I introduced Saxx and Sheath to my blog, I had the impression that they were relatively unique in the men’s underwear market at putting lots of thought and specialized architecture into making their pouches as fancy as some women’s bras were – lift and separate! In the two years since, I’ve now seen a ton of brands that really cater to the male anatomy, and Separatec is one of several brands to advertise a “dual pouch” design, intended for keeping your boys comfy. For Separatec, this means that your balls are taken care of in a nice, rounded protrusion pouch at the bottom of the pair, which doesn’t have any extra structure inside to separate your balls from your thighs, but the shape of this pouch means any extra structure isn’t needed, as it holds your balls forward quite nicely. Your willie slides through a small hole in the inner layer of fabric to fill down into the main pouch, and I mean down – the pouch is incredibly generous below, but it fairly slim against your body up top. This, along with the fact that the fly openings don’t provide a ton of side-to-side stretch on their own, actually means that the “functional fly” isn’t all that functional – it would take some force to hold the hems open enough to let your dick through, especially if you’re still soft, due to the fact that these openings are also somewhat high up the pair. No need to fret, though – the main pouch is actually open at the bottom, and the pouch is so shapely itself that the amount of fabric there makes is very easy to just slip your willie out from below with the pouch fabric bunched up and out of the way for you to do whatever you want. So, in essence, this pair does have a fairly functional fly – just with the general Separatec pouch design and not with two openings specifically made for this pair.

Backside: Fairly plain, but the stripes make it nice to look at nonetheless, especially with a fairly good under-cheek shape. You can kinda see the “tag” that’s printed on the inside of the back, but unlike other print-on “tags”, this one never feels sticky or sweat-inducing.
Legs: Very nice! I like the length, and the leg openings themselves are quite soft, comfy, and stretchy while basically always staying in place. They may feel just a hair tight at times, but this is rare and barely noticeable.
Overall: 4.5/5 – these are amazing boxer briefs, and I think the 3-pack was so incredibly worth it. Especially living in a world where WFH is the norm, these are great everyday pairs – just as was apparently intended. Although the visuals aren’t the sexiest around, a full pouch on these boys certainly will draw some attention – and Separatec makes both trunks and briefs with these pouches as well, so those will likely look even sexier when full. Not a full 5/5 only because the intended “functional fly” isn’t, and also because the fabric does have a bit of thickness/weight to it. X-D
