Material: 95% Cotton, 5% Spandex, but while this blend is common, they way it’s been done here is definitely not. The fabric here feels somewhat synthetic despite being mostly cotton, and feels oddly slick and tight, and also incredibly thin. In fact, everything about these pairs just feels a bit tight, even with the Large, which is a bit odd and a tad restrictive to me.
Aesthetic: Ho boy, these briefs are the embodiment of “loud and proud”! While I’ve talked multiple times about the red-white-black color combination before, it’s possible to get similar effects with any strong, saturated color in place of the red, and that’s exactly what’s happened here. The racing stripes going vertically down the front absolutely draw your eye to the curve of the pouch – these pairs are entirely about having that “in your face” look, it absolutely demands to be noticed.
Waistband: Very nicely stretchy though maybe a tad bit sturdier than normal, and a bit taller than some other waistbands, but otherwise pretty typical. What’s not typical here is the fact that the tags are actually affixed to the left hip instead of the small of the back – and it absolutely works.

Pouch: The pouch has a relatively nice shape to it, though nothing incredibly promoting. As with the fabric in general, the pouch does feel a bit on the tight side even with the larger pair, which has its pros and cons. On one hand, having the pair stretch tightly over your junk can make your bulge look more impressive, and having everything strapped down can be great for athletic activity too; on the other hand, being constantly squeezed can also just be generally uncomfortable. Still, almost always looks great, no matter how you try positioning your junk. The construction of the pair makes it such that wearing your willie up or willie down doesn’t actually seem to have much effect on the presentation of your bulge when looking at it from the front, which is an interesting consequence of the fabric pattern and stitching. (The positioning is clearer when viewed from the side, of course.)

Backside: Plainest part of the pairs, but the strong color and big brand print across the waistband make it look nice enough. Not quite full coverage, and the tightness of the pair lets the lower part of your cheeks separate a bit as the fabric comes up between them – nowhere near the point of a wedgie, of course; only just enough to have that visual representation.
Legs: As with much of the pair, the leg openings feel a bit tight and restrictive, though even with the Medium for me, it’s not to the extent of being deal-breaking by any means – it’s just a bit tight, and probably not something you’d want to wear for an extended amount of time.
Overall: 3/5 – I’d say these are an absolute 5/5 for looks, but only a passable 25 for comfort. Excellent pairs to wear to a club or maybe to the gym, but probably not something I’d recommend wearing for a full day unless you definitely like having that tighter feel for your undies.

Under Pockets – boxer briefs – black – Large

Material: 95% Cotton, 5% Spandex, which is something we’ve seen before often, and for good reason – usually comes across as a lightweight, soft, stretchy bland. The material for this particular pair doesn’t feel quite as breathable as some other pairs, but that’s maybe splitting hairs, it’s still pretty nice.
Aesthetic: Pretty utilitarian with the all-black look and the plain white statement of the brand name along the waistband. The white pocket openings fit into that utilitarian aesthetic as well with the squared-off appearance.
Waistband: Very nicely stretchy, and a bit taller than some other waistbands, but otherwise pretty typical.
Pouch: Under Pockets relies on a very traditional boxer design with the vertical fly and not a ton of shape. However, there is a bit of a cupped shape at the bottom of the fly structure, so that’s kinda nice. As with a lot of traditional boxer briefs, though, the lower “corners” of the pouch area often do not come up against the torso, especially after general movement, so you may often get a bit of an open, unsupported feeling from this pair.
Backside: Pretty plain, as it’s also all black, which has the added effect that any shaping the backside does do would be lost visually. Like many mass-produced boxer briefs, though, there isn’t much shaping going on back here anyway. There is, of course, a little bit of visual intrigue with the white pocket openings providing a little bit of visual punch near your hips, so that’s nice I guess.
Legs: Okay, love these legs. =-)
Other: The major gimmick of this brand is, of course, the built-in pockets on the sides of the underwear. I won’t talk about whether this is a practical, useful idea or not, but what I will say is that these pockets have been executed wonderfully. They’re not bulky in any way, and yet are fairly sizeable, and the extra fabric is still nicely lightweight and soft. The pockets are worked into the pair by having vertical panels of fabric on each side of the pair, and the extra seams are entirely unnoticeable. Honestly, I’d like to see more brands realize that features on the sides of a pair can offer design flexibility that features in front or in back may not be as good for.
Overall: 3.5/5 – Honestly, a pretty solid pair overall, pockets or not! The potential lack of support between the legs is the only minor issue, as that can be largely avoided if you’re not moving around much (or if you’re moving around quite a lot and the ease of motion is a good thing).

Backpack Harness – Rainbow (Red Edge) – One Size

This is going to be a mini-review of sorts, as harnesses don’t fit well into my normal format, and I don’t have as much of a story to tell as the last time I reviewed a harness.

I ordered this harness from OtterBoy.com about a month ago, at the same time I ordered some Seobean bulge boxers (in two different sizes since I knew it was an Asian brand, and those tend to run small, but even the XL was too small for me despite the website saying otherwise…). Not sure exactly what prompted me to get a harness – might have been the rainbows, might have been the matching armbands (because I love putting together matching outfits) – but I’m glad I got it! It’s honestly pretty nice. Looks pretty good in my opinion, and the fabric is pretty comfy. It’s entirely fabric, too, nothing else aside from the labels; just wish I knew what kind of fabric it was!

Now, I don’t know exactly what brand this harness is… It came in some AlexanderS packaging, but the directly labels on the harness and armbands themselves say “Clever-MenMode”. I have trouble re-finding this harness from either name, and can only find it either on OtterBoy.com or on OhMyUnderwear.com (which I’ve also ordered from before, though not sure I’d order from either site again).

Wherever this is from, it’s a nice harness to have, I think. Fairly soft, fits well enough, and I do quite like how it has those matching armbands. I don’t yet know what pants or underwear I would pair it with, and it’s a bit more exposing that I’m used to since there’s literally no front to it at all, but I’m sure I’ll figure something out! Any suggestions?

Raw Studio Designs – The Sock – Black Sheer – Large

Material: 92% Micro Fiber, 8% Lycra, and just WOW this feels amazing! Obviously quite breathable and lightweight, this mesh also ends up feeling almost frictionless, allowing for a ton of (somewhat sensual) movement within whatever pants you’re wearing.
Aesthetic: Clearly, this little black number doesn’t hide anything even while keeping everything “covered”, making it exude a very teasing and inviting aura. And of course, no straps either! Lots of skin to rub over smoothly.
Waistband: Incredibly stretchy and soft, it’s almost just the elastic itself – if you pull on it a little bit, you can see the stitching open right up to be its own mesh-like look.
Pouch: The pouch has a very nice shape to it, and the underside hem of the pouch comes up under your junk snugly but without being overly tight, no cutting in under your balls you at all. The pouch is a bit loose on me, which might be a function of getting a Large instead of a Medium (as my 33-35 waist straddles the 33/34 divide between Medium and Large, and they say that they run slim). If you compare this pair to my previous review, it almost looks like the underside comes up to the same height – but it feels lower enough to not be an issue, and if it really is coming up to the same height under my junk, it’s doing so in a way that’s not nearly as taut and cutting. I mean it’s seriously comfy, and also very effective – this is the first sling I’ve tried that hasn’t had a “failure” at some point in the day, (i.e. losing its grip and the pouch slipping off while still in your pants,) so that’s pretty awesome.
Backside/Legs: NA
Overall: 5/5 – If you want a sexy, see-though sling, GET THIS PAIR. Just do it. I was very tempted to give this a 4.5/5 instead just from the looseness of the pouch itself, but I can’t knock this pair for something that may or may not be a sizing issue and still feels amazing. This pair may become a favorite once I’ve worn it on multiple occasions.

Mao Jiang – transparent mesh boxers – Lilac – Large

Material: The website I ordered these from – Queer in the World – only says these are “a nylon/spandex blend for the ultimate in comfort and style”, and the tag on the pair itself doesn’t give the details, so I have no clue exactly what nylon/spandex blend these actually are! The fabric, though, definitely is incredibly comfy and breathable, and doesn’t have the mesh-bumps problem that can occur sometimes. The stretch is amazing, as is just the feel of the fabric, and of course it’s incredibly lightweight and breathable, so I think fabric style this is a win.
Aesthetic: Between the mesh and the diamond pattern and the color, this looks a lot like lingerie to me, and it’s quite fun!
Waistband: The actual structure of the waistband is covered with a thin layer of the purple fabric, so it’s incredibly soft and comfy as it sits a bit above the hips.

Pouch: Nothing super-impressive about this pouch, but it’s still quite a good one overall! It’s got a nice shape, and the fabric feels great on your junk, on top of being light and stretchy enough for you to very easily wear your willie up or down; I think the tip of the pouch is slightly better arranged for down-wearing than up-wearing, if the pictures are anything to go by, but it’s a very small difference. There isn’t much to the underside of the pouch but the pair overall still provides a moderate amount of support.
Backside: Thanks to the mesh, you get to see just about everything! And even then, the pair provides just enough support for the back to look fairly nice, even reigning in my own personal flab back there moderately well. You can see the tag, of course, but I don’t think it’s too distracting.
Legs: I like the length here as made, (and of course the fabric is very comfy,) though they could be a bit longer too. The legs are the one area where the fit of these isn’t excellent, as you can see that they roll up a little bit in some of the images above, and the lower leg hem is definitely a bit narrower than my thigh circumference… Thankfully, the fabric is good enough that these issues don’t cause much discomfort, so it doesn’t bother me too much. I could have in theory tried buying another size up, which is honestly a considering you definitely need to make when buying Asian brands, but the waistband and pouch fit me quite nicely, so I think a size up (XL with waist 35″-37″ instead of the L with waist 33″-35″) might have been a bit much. IDK

Overall: 4/5 – Very fun, very comfy lingerie boxers! Sizing might be a bit of an issue, as might fabric issues if you have those concerning nylon or spandex. Simply getting some of these for yourself could be interesting too – I can’t find any other distributors aside from Queer in the World, where they’re currently on sale for $13. Definitely try them out if you’re looking for that sheer bedroom look!

Box Menswear – F**k You Boxer Briefs – print – Medium

Material: 95% Cotton, 5% Elastane, and definitely comfortable! The material stretches nicely, and largely just molds itself to your shape. You can feel the fabric there, but it’s not constraining in any way, and has just a hint of cool feeling to it.
Aesthetic: Not sure exactly how to put into words the aesthetic here, as this pair looks somewhat newspaper-ish from a distance, with the brand text almost looking like a headline along the waistband. Between the print, you can also make out the hems fairly clearly, which is a little visually distracting, and not in a good way. Still, you get to read the “F**k You” text if you take a closer look, and getting to take a closer look at a pair of underwear in wear is always nice! (The print is not censored like I’m doing here.)
Waistband: A bit taller than most waistbands, consistent in that sense with the waistband on the Box briefs. It’s a little bit of a softer construction, though, and a bit more plain on the inside too. Generally wears at or slightly below your waist.
Pouch: As with many boxer-briefs, the pouch is stretched out and spacier near the bottom where it connects to the legs than the pouch on comparable briefs are. Interestingly, though, I like this pouch better because the fabric and stretch and mold around your junk better than the brief I previously reviewed. In other words,the pouch here can still provide support around the lower areas quite well, and more so based on conforming to your junk rather than conforming your junk to it.
Backside: The backside here does give your cheeks some good definition on the underside, and the print is nice to look at, but I would say here that the pair doesn’t do an A+ job of giving your cheeks a good overall shape – IMO, my rump definitely looks bigger in the somewhat-flabby way in this pair. That said, it still feels very good to wear!
Legs: I like the length on these, and they’re generally pretty comfortable, including well-made hems at the end of each legs. The comfort of those hems has maybe allowed them to more-easily roll up, which they will do a fair amount, as shown below.
Other: Yes, they do have a pair that says “F**k Me” on it too. That one is typically sold out, while this one is typically not.
Overall: 3.5/5 – While I’m only giving these a fairly average rating, largely based on the less-flattering backside and rolling-up leg hems, I still quite like how these feel to wear. Definitely a nice pair to wear, and if you can get the “F**k Me” instead of the “F**k You” pair, all the more fun!

AlphaBox – Everyday Fit Boxers – Red Modal – Medium

Material: 95% Modal, 5% Elastane, and oh my god this is sooooo comfy! To be fair, it’s not one of those “can hardly tell it’s even there” underwear, but they’re incredibly soft and lightweight and kinda cooling too, so it’s just an amazing fabric blend.
Aesthetic: There’s nothing super-flashy about this pair, but the material itself has a well-put-together look that makes the pair look classy and intentional even as it’s just one big solid color. The fact that it’s an H-fly on the outside helps with that intentional and somewhat intriguing look, which is added to by the waistband in three ways: a slightly different shade of red, a thin, refined blue stripe rounding the top, and the classy, almost cryptic AlphaBox logo quite off-center on the left hip. Basically, it’s a pair that won’t necessarily earn a second look, but if you give it that second look, you’ll almost immediately think “oh, that’s a nice pair”.
Waistband: Nothing incredibly outstanding about the waistband here, just incredibly comfortable with how soft & stretchy it is.
Pouch: Ah, this pouch! AlphaBox calls it their “3D Pocket”, which is a bit of a misnomer if you compare it to some of the truly 3D shapes on other pairs I’ve reviewed, but that’s just what you see on the outside. The inside of this pouch is absolutely amazing. It’s a pseudo-dual-pouch design supported by what is effectively an internal C-ring (though much looser than one would normally be) combined with the aforementioned H-fly up top, simultaneously allowing for having your junk kept away from your legs (though not necessarily away from each other) and allowing for easy access from up top for you to do your business in the bathroom quite easily. In the above pictures, I’ve let my junk mostly just sit together near the bottom of the pouch, while the two pic below show how it fits when wearing your willie upward, and both arrangements feel completely natural and accommodated. I really don’t think I can find a bad thing to say about this pouch.

Backside: Like the waistband, nothing outstanding here, just a generally high-quality, comfortable constructions and a simple look. It might be a function of how long the legs are, but the pair does a good job of providing a nice visual curve to your backside; for me in particular, the pair actually makes me look like my cheeks have a good shape and tone to them even when I’m a bit more jiggly on my own without any cover.
Legs: I’ve mentioned on the blog before that I love longer legs, and these are no exception! The material is very comfy and stretches over my big thighs quite nicely. The hems here, though, provide the only (and very minor) little drawback to the pair, as there’s a thin line of more solid, less stretchy fabric in the hems here. It’s not something you’ll notice much in general, but I’ll occasionally feel a bit of a slightly-cutting squeeze when I sit down sometimes. The AlphaBox site explicitly mentions that their hems are finished in a way so as to prevent the legs from ever riding up, and to that effect they’ve done a great job, so I definitely appreciate that!
Other: I have yet to find AlphaBox pairs (either the Everyday featured here or the Performance line, one of which is available on my Sales page) on sale anyway, so the price point is a bit steep at the moment at over $30/pair, but DAMN if it isn’t worth it!
Overall: 5/5 – the only reason you wouldn’t like this pair is if you simply don’t like boxer briefs to begin with. And, in which case, I’d say you’re missing out. Get one of these pairs.

Good Devil – GDJ017 Pecker Brief – Red – Medium

Material: 86% Polyamide, 14% Spandex, which may have a somewhat synthetic feel but is very soft and stretchy, with a semi-slick, veneer-like quality to it as well. It feels a little thick from the synthetic build, so isn’t very breathable, but holy hell is it stretchy!
Aesthetic: This brief has a very bikini-like look to it with there being only waistband for much of the front; it gives a “stronger” look than a normal bikini, though, with the waistband having a very square look to it. And then, of course, there’s the eponymous pecker itself… You can’t say this pair isn’t a looker! It certainly embodies the sexy, somewhat-sinful nature of the brand name – which is aided by that red-white-black color scheme I’ve mentioned before.
Waistband: The waistband here is a hair shorter than a lot of others you might come across, and it feels oddly plain and homogeneous – but that’s not a bad thing by any means! I do love how stretchy it is, and it still comes in holding on to your waist (or, rather, holding on to your hips due to being very low-rise) quite nicely. I have at times worn the pair higher up, so the waistband more closely follows the v-lines, and that works equally well.
Pouch: Well now… Obviously the big thing here is that the “pouch” is less of a pouch than it is a highly intentional tube of fabric jutting straight forward meant to hold your willie and nothing else! To be fair, there is a slight curve to the pouch beneath the “pecker” itself, and the fabric is fairly stretchy, so it’s not like the pair is flat lower down and overly constraining on your balls – but that effect is ever so slightly present. Now, since the fabric feels somewhat low-friction to being with, you might think it’s easy to fill out the pecker; actually, the slight thickness of the fabric makes it not so easy, especially if your willie is on the girthier side. It’s possible that you may have to get mostly hard in order to stick your willie in, and even then you’ll probably need give some manual effort to fully fill our the tube as the base may rather want to pull away from your crotch, and no one wants to see a limp tip at the end of your underwear. That said, while it may take some effort to wear this pair as fully intended, it’s a great wear once you get it on properly!
Backside: It’s a plain, solid-color backside, but it’s not full coverage, so that’s already some extra contrast to look at. The semi-veneer of the fabric also gives the pair some visual flair, and of course the waistband adds a strong, square top border too. There is a small and very soft tag hanging on the inside in back.
Legs: Since the design is very bikini-based, it’s really not that appropriate to talk about the “leg openings” here as both the front and back panels end before the thighs begin.
Overall: 3.5/5 – 3/5 for general wearability, but 5/5 on looks!

Box Menswear – briefs – Pink – Small

Material: 92% Cotton, 8% Spandex, which feels relatively solid and not as stretchy as some other pairs I’ve reviewed, but is still quite comfy and not “heavy” at all.
Aesthetic: Simple and owning it, which just enough hue and just the right shape to keep it fairly interesting. The black and white of the waistband with a big, bold BOX logo font and center, adds to that air of confidence.
Waistband: Maybe a bit taller than other waistbands I’ve seen, (the waistband is taller than the hip bands,) and also a bit more solid, but not to the point of being tough. Interestingly, the inside of the waistband has an unexpected grey-and-white banding pattern to it. Nor sure what that’s for, but it makes the pair that much more interesting for the wearer. I go back and forth between wearing this directly on the hips (lower front hems aligning with the hip-thigh fold) or between the hips and waist (thinnest part, just below the navel) and both work for me.

Pouch: The pouch doesn’t look like much at first glance, with relatively little shape built into the pair compared to many other “big pouch” pairs, but the rounded-out shape is there and it honestly works quite well. The fabric makes it so that the pouch forms around your junk fairly well and holds you in without feeling limiting, which is good.
Backside: Fairly plain, but the contrast between the white, almost-shiny waistband and the color of the fabric still lets it look nice enough. Definitely not full coverage! And you will occasionally feel the hems when you sit, but it’s a very small effect. A tag is printed on the inside of the backside and is somewhat visible from behind.
Legs: Quite good, especially considering that this is a Small and not a Medium! The one problem many people encounter with briefs is that the legs feel like they cut it a little bit, and Box avoids that completely with their briefs here somehow. That’s not to say they aren’t snug – they are – but you probably won’t ever feel the need to stretch things out or readjust at any point, which is very nice.
Overall: 4.5/5 – IDK if this is a slightly high rating for a rather plain pair, but it’s simply that good at what it wants to be. If you don’t like simple, everyday, fly-less briefs, then it won’t be for you, but if you go for that style, this is such a great pair.

Blanc – Enhance Briefs – Black – Medium

Material: 95% Cotton, 5% Spandex, which is Blanc’s well-made go-to.
Aesthetic: Black is supposedly a slimming color, which is hard to do with briefs, especially when they have relatively short hips bands, but this is still a fairly impactful pair visually! The black is fairly bold and strong, I like the color contrast from the waistband.
Waistband: As typical for Blanc pairs, the waistband is a bit sturdier than the main fabric but otherwise essentially has the same softness and stretchiness to it.
Pouch: While I think the Enhance design doesn’t work well for a boxer, I think it works amazingly well for briefs! With the lower edges of the pouch coming up right between your legs as the overall edges of the pair, there’s no question as to where your junk fits in the pair, and it typically fills the pouch up very well. Of note, the paneling that helps make up the pouch shape ends up in a noticeably different pattern compared to other briefs, with the pouch panel vertical edges much closer to the middle of the pair than with the standard fit briefs – a difference not seen between Blanc’s standard and Enhance boxers. Honestly, I really like this pouch, even though I’m not really a fan of being forced to wear my willie pointing down. It’s very grabbable. X-D And of course it does a good job of making your junk look nice and big. The downside here is that the willie-down design means lots of skin-on-skin contact with your balls inside the pouch, and if you’re not careful during the day, it’s possible to get your balls squeezed between your legs. So watch out for that! Despite these drawbacks, I think the Enhance pouch has more pros than cons on the briefs here.
Backside: Like the standard fit lilac brief, the backside is not full-coverage, so there are some cheek issues if you’re sensitive to that stuff. The print-on tag in back can be faintly seen in the right light, but it’s nowhere near as obvious as with the lilac brief.
Legs: Basically the same as the lilac brief here.
Overall: 4/5 – I wouldn’t say the Enhance pouch is strictly better than the standard fit pouch for these briefs – I think I like both equally – but it is a fun feature on its own, so I’m giving this brief a half point more.
