Excavating The Bin

I moved about three years ago, and when doing so, about half of my underwear collection was transported in a big plastic tub that has lived in my closet with very little interaction since. Well, with my 100th review coming up and wanting to expand my Sales offerings, I decided to really dig in to my underwear past!

Featured center foreground in the pic above are the rainbow of Mossimo boxer briefs that I got at Target years ago as the very beginnings of my underwear collection. Dead center are some of the pairs that I think border on lingerie, some from Envy, some from Gregg Homme, and the orange one from (I believe) CheapUndies of all places! And of course, several piles of different styles all around, most quite colorful. =-)

The still-bagged set of underwear mid-top left are other pairs I like and was just too lazy to pull out for this pic. X-D The two bags upper-right, though, are underwear that I had previously (before moving) set aside as pairs I could potentially sell off, so expect those to be added to my Sales page over the next month or so!

Breedwell – Moto Brief – Red – L

078

Material: 76% Nylon, 24% Spandex, and quite comfy! I believe this only describes the pouch material and the top of the back, as most of the pair is actually mesh of some sort. The pouch material is relatively low-friction and hugs your junk quite nicely.
Aesthetic: Loud and somewhat athletic-looking, honestly I think the best description for this look is “DTF”. It’s very in-your-face and show-off-y, with the general impression that this pair is very durable and ready for action of some sort. There’s something about the red/white/black combo that just scream virility, at least to me… (And I have several other reviews in the same vein as that, soooo yeah.) Along with the blocky brand name plastered across the waistband, this pair if bold, brash, and breed-ready.
Waistband: Soft and stretchy enough, but a hair tighter than some other pairs I’ve reviewed recently; nothing uncomfortable by any means, just enough that I notice the difference with the elastic. It’s also a hair taller than some of the other waistbands I’ve seen recently, which I like; it’s built to stay on and in place through whatever you do. There is a tag in the back of the waistband, but it’s printed on and you won’t notice it.
Pouch: As mentioned with the material above, the pouch hugs your junk very nicely! It’s not really a shaped pouch at all, but between its stretchiness and how well is wraps around you, you’re almost always going to get a good bulge from it. It’s not overly tight in any way, and it does a good job of keeping your junk off of your thighs. Also, the U-Fly here is great! There’s enough overlap in the two panels of fabric that you’re not just going to slip out easily, but the width of the opening and the stretch of the hems makes it a breeze to whip your willie out for going to the bathroom (or other uses).
Backside: Now this is interesting! Not many briefs can do a “look at me” ass regardless of how much cake you have like this one can! Not only is the two-panel design (with a hint of the hip strap panels showing too) already an eye-catching design choice, the colors then accentuate the paneling, and finally the entire lower panel is just mesh! Now, I’ve mentioned in the past the mesh can be hit or miss because a bad mesh can make it feel like your skin is “bubbling” through the mesh holes, but this pair suffers no such ill – the mesh is fantastic. It certainly makes the pair quite breathable! The mesh also leads to the appearance of a dark strap down your cheek – obviously it’s just a lighting thing, but I think it’s a fun, almost-naughty look.
Legs: Nothing of note for the leg openings here! Just a generally nice fit.
Other: While there is a Moto Jock on the Breedwell website, I got this Moto brief through CheapUndies, which seems to be the only place to get them at the moment. (Maybe it’s a similar agreement to the McKillop pouch?)
Overall: 5/5 – this pair is comfy, very functional, and just plain fun. Definitely recommend it, especially if you’re more of the wild type!
Great for: Activewear, Sexy wear, Sex wear
Good for: Everyday wear

CheapUndies – Basic Long Trunk – White – S

061

Material: 95% Cotton, 5% Elastane, nice and lightweight but not quite as breathable as you might expect. Generally a bit snug all-around, in a good way. (That could likely be the result of this pair being a small instead of a medium.)
Aesthetic: Visually, this pair is almost identical to the Ergowear FEEL Modal Long Boxer I reviewed not too long ago. What can I say? I love pure white, longer-legged undies. X-D Well, as long-legged as I can get… Still can’t see to find one that gets close to my knees. Anyway: yes, it’s plain, but I like the plain white look.
Waistband: Again, a fairly typical waistband in terms of height, comfort, etc. The elastic in the waistband is a tad bit tighter than some other waistbands, but not to the point that it’s uncomfortable or hard to put on – just snug! And this is definitely quality of the construction, not because of the sizing – I’d guess a medium’s waistband would still be very body-hugging. Infrequently, the top of the waistband might roll down a little bit – more when you’re sitting than otherwise. The waistband here is lower-rise, sitting at or above the hips.
Pouch: The front on this pair is the biggest difference between it and the FEEL Modal Boxer, in that the pouch here is a very specific, rounded shape as opposed to a loose-hanging pouch. Both support your boys very well, just in different ways. This pair definitely aims to hold your junk in place snugly – though that’s not to say the pouch is small, since it’s got a nice amount of room itself. It’s just a very well-defined pocket that keeps you in place!
Backside: Have I mentioned that this pair is sung? X-D If you’ve got a big, flabby butt like I do, it might not be the best look around, especially since the fabric is kinda thin to begin with and starts showing things off a lot when it’s stretched out, but on fitter butts this should look amazing, especially with the seam that goes right down the middle and accentuates the lower part of your cheeks. (Lifts and separates!) The extra seams that go down the backs of the legs also are a kinda fun look.

Legs: Overall, I like the legs here. THe snugness is good, as is the length. The only small drawback – and it’s not a very noticeable one during everyday wear – is that the hems of the legs do roll up on occasion.
Other: This pair has been rebranded as the CORE Basic Long Trunk since I bought it. Aside from a stylized CORE logo on the waistband in close of the basic CheapUndies name, I don’t think it’s any different now.
Overall: 4/5 – for me personally, the FEEL Modal Boxer just has a better material and better legs. Both pouches are excellent even if I’m more likely to wear the FEEL, simply because I like to lounge about more. Those all said, this is still an excellent pair of underwear, so if you prefer a tighter pouch or if price point is an issue, then definitely get the CheapUndies long white boxer instead!
Great for: Everyday wear
Good for: Loungewear, Sleepwear, Activewear

Recent orders

I know I haven’t written a ton of my own posts recently, and that’s gone hand in hand with not having bought a ton of underwear recently either. In fact, of the underwear I have bought over the past three months, I haven’t even opened most of them!

I had some time earlier today, though, and will have some time tomorrow morning as well, so I decided to finally pull ‘em all out of their order bags today and start trying things on. In addition to some underwear pics I’ve had backed up, I might actually start building up a queue again! The shock X-D

What this all includes: a CheapUndies order that includes a few Ginch Gonch pairs (including a second “bull” boxerbrief) as well as my first Clever and first CellBlock13 pair; an overdue N2N order, two pieces from a FreshPair order (Ergowear shorts and an Andrew Christian Xpose singlet… which will be very NSWF if I show it); and finally, two pieces that I bought at a store in Rehoboth Beach, including my first top.

I wore the Clever brief today, am wearing the N2N lounge shorts, (and tried the white sheer onesie, which didn’t work so well,) and will wear something else from this collection tomorrow I think. Also got one other pic as a mini-review for you next…

CheapUndies – Touch Brief – Blue – Medium

045

image

Material: 95% Modal, 5% Elastane, very smooth and almost cooling feel to them.
Aesthetic: Simple and classic with one nice solid color. Slightly sporty with several vertical lines in the seam and piping. Strong-looking waistband, and if you check out the entire Touch line, it’s a masculine, down-to-earth pallet overall.
Waistband: Feeling-wise, what you expect of most waistbands. Sits between the hips and waist in most promotional images but fits more on my waist; good size.
Pouch: Very comfy! Great shape. It comes up under the balls nicely, and then gives you a fair amount of space, more lower than higher.
Backside: Full-coverage and nicely smooth.
Legs: The leg openings themselves are pretty nice, and they feel like they fit nicely around your thighs. However, one thing I noticed after a while of wearing them was a slight pinching feeling from the back arc of the leg openings. Definitely needed to readjust to be comfortable every once in a while.
Overall: 3.5/5 – I would really like to give this a higher score, since this is generally a very comfy pair, but the occasional pinching from the back side of the legs means I can’t rate it too highly. I hope it’s just because my ass and thighs are a little too malleable, so maybe the legs stay comfy much better on more fit guys.

Mckillop – Max Bulge Pouch – Orange//Pink – Medium

006

Material: 92% Modal, 8% Lycra, but it feels very cotton-y and soft.
Aesthetic: Bright, solid-color pouch and a moderate-width black waistband gives these pairs a nice “pop” to them.
Waistband: VERY soft, and nicely elastic – stays on but doesn’t squeeze. Might roll up a little bit, though.
Pouch: The pouch itself has a great shape, which comes up right under your balls (not uncomfortably) and lifts your package slightly up and definitely forward. Center seam on this sling, too, but this one is fairly minor.
Other: There is a small, lightweight built-in C-ring attached to the center of the base of the pouch, and the pair is also sold with a thicker, wider, standalone C-ring as well. Both are elastic. Putting the larger, standalone C-ring on makes it easier to slide your junk through the built-in C-ring, and helps things stay on better. Even then, I have yet to own a pair of sling undies that didn’t come off at least once in all the time I’ve worn said pair – but the “failure rate” for the Mckillop Max Bulge Pouch is pretty low. If you’re not gonna move around a lot, you can probably forego using a separate C-ring, or even forego using either C-ring altogether – but just be conscious of any movement that you do do! Finally, these pairs are only available from Mckillop VIA cheapundies.com; they’re not on Mckillop’s main site, so keep your eyes on the sales vendor.
Overall: 3.5/5 – soft, comfy, and sexy all-around. Gotta be wary of the slight potential for slip-off, though.
