Fort Troff – Glow Sport Jock – Orange – Medium

Material: 79% Polyester, 17% Spandex, 4% Nylon, which I’m assuming is just describing the pouch and not the waistband+straps. A nice breathable, lightweight mesh that doesn’t feel overbearing even as it holds you compactly in place.
Aesthetic: Really, really fun! In a naughty way, as per usual with FT. X-D The jet black pouch is complimented by the bold orange of the waistband and jock straps, with a little bit of metallic grey on the waistband and white text in FT’s signature bold font. Apparently it literally does glow nicely under blacklight, but I have yet to test that out.
Waistband: Relatively typical of waistbands, but in line with FT’s brand, it’s a bit stronger, a bit taller, and a bit sturdier than you’d usually find on other underwear, with the implication that you’re gonna be putting this jockstrap through its paces. X-D As such, the hefty elastic of the waistband feels a little bit on the tighter side of comfortable, but still comfortable.
Pouch: Holds you in as you might expect of a jockstrap, but it also stretches fairly well, both for bulging out and for “whipping it out”. The latter somewhat surprises me in the sense that it seems a lot of thought was put in to it: the pouch seems to be bordered by straps of its own, which might make you think the edges of the pouch are less stretchy than the rest of it, but they’re just as light and stretchy as the rest of the pair. Combine that with a pouch that is a bit on the narrow side, and it’s quite easy to pull your willie out of the side of the pouch, as opposed to pulling it out over the waistband (hard to do with the semi-tight waistband) or letting it our under the bottom point of the pouch (still doable when sitting on the John, though). The tag is in the pouch instead of around back, but it’s off-center, so it’s in theory out of the way; you don’t ever really notice it.

Backside/straps: Similar to the waistband, the straps are a little bit wider, tighter, and “rougher” than you might see on some other designer jockstraps – only in comparison and only slightly, though, as they’re still really rather comfy – much more comfort-minded than traditional jockstraps would have. (Also like the waistband, they’re not tight to the point of discomfort at all.) They line up with and support the undersides of your cheeks perfectly, also helping shape them just enough to really look good.

Obligatory MAL post

A DC-based underwear fan can’t go ignoring the massive event that is Mid-Atlantic Leather weekend, now, can he? To be fully honest, I’m rather vanilla and reserved, so I didn’t go shirtless today and didn’t have a true harness. Instead, I wore a fun Andrew Christian tee with a seatbelt-material belt that I wore as a faux harness (left is me, right is AC’s pic of the tee):

Unfortunately, neither item is available any more… The tee because AC is an asshole that makes almost every item they ever produce a “limited run” item, and the seatbelt-style belt because each one is custom-made by one of the MAL vendors – I bought the Pokeball belt at last year’s MAL, and when we stopped by the same booth this year, they had similar belts but in different designs.

Anyway, I made two purchases in the MAL marketplace today: a Fort Troff jockstrap and a small vendor’s tiger-stripe singlet! Left is FT’s pic of the jockstrap, right is a singlet similar to the one I got, though the one I got has a MUCH lower front. X-D

Finally, I had tried on a few several of the pairs I ordered earlier this week (they came in quickly!) and I’ll get around to reviewing them ALL for you tomorrow! At least, all that are underwear – I’ll save the swim brief for later. Also, I’ll post one of the reviews today, with the most MAL-est pair that I ordered! I’m sure it should be pretty easy to guess which one. X-D
