TopMan is a brand based in England that I haven’t heard of before. Just from a quick browse of their online store, they seem like a fairly low-key brand. That is, they’ve got underwear in fun colors and fun prints, but it looks like they aren’t trying to push any boundaries with their various cuts or anything like that. Also a pretty plain website in general – more about the business than about trying to make a brand identity.
This particular brief here looks like a fairly good embodiment of the company, just from my first impression. Pretty plain and functional, though nothing to write home about. The fabric looks pretty “flat” and maybe a little on the tighter side; the shape of the pouch is made for simplicity of construction, not for particularly trying to look good (though it certainly doesn’t look bad either). The waistband looks like it’s on the bigger side and a slightly different material – could be fine, but part of me think it could be a little cumbersome too.
Side note: I’ve mentioned before I love pairing underwear with other articles of clothing. This guy’s socks do not match the briefs.
