Backpack Harness – Rainbow (Red Edge) – One Size

104

This is going to be a mini-review of sorts, as harnesses don’t fit well into my normal format, and I don’t have as much of a story to tell as the last time I reviewed a harness.

I ordered this harness from OtterBoy.com about a month ago, at the same time I ordered some Seobean bulge boxers (in two different sizes since I knew it was an Asian brand, and those tend to run small, but even the XL was too small for me despite the website saying otherwise…). Not sure exactly what prompted me to get a harness – might have been the rainbows, might have been the matching armbands (because I love putting together matching outfits) – but I’m glad I got it! It’s honestly pretty nice. Looks pretty good in my opinion, and the fabric is pretty comfy. It’s entirely fabric, too, nothing else aside from the labels; just wish I knew what kind of fabric it was!

Now, I don’t know exactly what brand this harness is… It came in some AlexanderS packaging, but the directly labels on the harness and armbands themselves say “Clever-MenMode”. I have trouble re-finding this harness from either name, and can only find it either on OtterBoy.com or on OhMyUnderwear.com (which I’ve also ordered from before, though not sure I’d order from either site again).

Wherever this is from, it’s a nice harness to have, I think. Fairly soft, fits well enough, and I do quite like how it has those matching armbands. I don’t yet know what pants or underwear I would pair it with, and it’s a bit more exposing that I’m used to since there’s literally no front to it at all, but I’m sure I’ll figure something out! Any suggestions?

Excavating The Bin

I moved about three years ago, and when doing so, about half of my underwear collection was transported in a big plastic tub that has lived in my closet with very little interaction since. Well, with my 100th review coming up and wanting to expand my Sales offerings, I decided to really dig in to my underwear past!

Featured center foreground in the pic above are the rainbow of Mossimo boxer briefs that I got at Target years ago as the very beginnings of my underwear collection. Dead center are some of the pairs that I think border on lingerie, some from Envy, some from Gregg Homme, and the orange one from (I believe) CheapUndies of all places! And of course, several piles of different styles all around, most quite colorful. =-)

The still-bagged set of underwear mid-top left are other pairs I like and was just too lazy to pull out for this pic. X-D The two bags upper-right, though, are underwear that I had previously (before moving) set aside as pairs I could potentially sell off, so expect those to be added to my Sales page over the next month or so!

Been a while since I reviewed anything from Bruno Menswear, so let’s fix that!

This picture really intrigued me because it wasn’t clear what was going on with the shorts… Well, they’re mesh! Just like the crop top is! (The yellow thong inside the shorts in this image is not sold as part of this outfit.) This outfit is the “Coordinado” crop top and short (sold separately) from the LOVEPRIDE collection (see: the rainbow stripes on the crop top’s shoulder straps).

This Coordinado looks quite nice overall! My one concern here is material – anything heavy on mesh can feel very synthetic, so there’s a chance this doesn’t feel great to wear, especially the crop top. I would love to try it, though! Especially since the mesh of the shorts makes it easy to show off whatever you’re wearing underneath – if anything ;3

Thinking of summer! So let’s have some swim briefs, along with some rainbow patterning as a bit of a nod toward June as Pride Month. =-)

Speaking of the rainbows, the vertical stripes on this swim brief help highlight the pouch on this brief, especially with how the stripes turn into that yellow lens right across the front of the bulge. The brief itself seems very tight, and VERY low-riding, so I think it’d be very hard to pull off unless you have a body like this guy here – I don’t think I could wear this myself, for sure.

I’m not sure what you call the thing this guy is wearing around his neck, but it certainly adds to make this a very sport-y look! I wouldn’t go so far as to call this an “outfit”, but it still works MO.

Thinking of summer looking at swim briefs!

They say that vertical lines make you look taller… I’d wager that it still holds true even with such short stripes as those on these swim briefs! They also draw my eye to the v-lines on everyone here… Well, except for the one guy in back who’s showing off his bubble butt instead (the vertical lines helping show off the shape there too!) X-D

Fun mix of colors here! These seem a bit too low-rise for me to be socially comfortable wearing them, but they don’t look to tight overall or anything like that, so I bet they’d be fairly comfortable for those who want to rock the look!

Andrew Christian – Project Love Mesh Brief – Pride Splash Print (Rainbow) – M

Material: 86% Nylon, 14% Spandex, which is the “self fabric” – I assume the mesh itself – and 93% Cotton, 7% Spandex for the “contrast fabric” – I assume the hems/piping/waistband. The mesh certainly feels a bit on the synthetic side, but it’s still rather soft and smooth. I’ve mentioned before that I’m usually 50/50 on mesh; with mesh like on this pair, the problem that can often occur is that the holes – which are great for breathability, though the material here is nice enough that I don’t think breathability would be an issue – sometimes let some of your skin bulge through in little bumps that then rub against the inside of whatever pants you’re wearing. This can happen no matter how tight the underwear is, and can range from mildly annoying to downright uncomfortable depending on the mesh style and pants material. For this brief, I can occasionally feel a little bit of the bumpiness, but overall this pair avoids that problem – so that’s good mesh to me!
Aesthetic: Very fun! And, with the suggestion of intentionally splattered paint, a hit of “let’s get messy” wink wink. The red “contrast fabric” gives a nice visual structure for the colorful pattern, and the fact that the background color is white add to the light, fun look of the pair.
Waistband: Fairly typical as far as waistbands go; nice medium height that sits somewhere between the waist and hips. It definitely feels a bit more solid than the rest of the pair, and maybe a hair less soft, but it’s got a healthy stretch. The tag is in the back and it’s a semi-hard material that’s curled on me fairly quickly, so it’s moderately uncomfortable.
Pouch: Really nice! It’s not advertised as Almost Naked, and I’d believe it since it does feel like the rounded shape is fairly intentionally done, but I think it’s fairly similar since it’s a nice amount of room and moves fairly well – basically like the Basix brief but with a tad bit more room and freedom of movement.
Backside: Good full coverage and the pattern keeps the expanse looking interesting! Not too tight or too loose, and has a bit of a dip to separate the cheeks.
Legs: Like the Basix or the Curve brief, nothing of note to say here!
Other: This particular pair is (surprise surprise) no longer available; the closest thing is the Pride Heart Print which is the exact same design overall but has a slightly tweaked mix of fabrics.
Overall: 4/5 – really fun an rather comfortable! Nothing to push it over the top, but unless you don’t like any kind of mesh (or aren’t a briefs fan) then you really should consider this pair.
Great for: NA
Good for: Activewear, Everyday wear, Sexy wear

While I’m on a Bruno kick, here’s another of their LOVEPRIDE collection. This isn’t actually a pair of underwear, but a fun little pair of shorts – one that looks like it would do well going commando though. 😉 It’s described as a “cotton plush” fabric, so I’m guessing it would certainly be comfortable on your sensitive area. And, despite being shorts, it looks like the front is fairly impressively shaped! The ass (not shown here) also hugs your cheeks nicely, while the back of the waistband (in fun rainbow striping) seems to go a lot higher than the front does. The pockets look nice and big, which is a plus! Especially if they go fairly far down front…

The Ellen line of boxer briefs has always seemed similar to the Mossimo line from Target, with a hint of Calvin Klein – comfortably somewhere between plain and outlandishly colorful, and fairly plain cut-wise but seemingly made from very comfy material. I definitely want a pair, and this guy lounging here is certainly doing a very good job of making them look veeerrry appealing…
