Just a guy sharing his love for underwear of all kinds!
A very fine example of Andrew Christian’s “Trophy Boy” line, showing off exactly what’s supposed to be trophy-winning about the boys wearing it! ;-D
The pouch, clearly, is made for well-hung guys, and the low-rise waistband is there to show off a great set of abs. I can’t tell if this is pink in low lighting or actually a maroon or red, but it’s honestly one of AC’s more muted designs either way – and still quite a looker! Bold in its simplicity. (With a loud waistband.)
I think this particular pair might be a tad tight for the guy wearing them – aside from the pouch, at least, it looks very skintight on the flatter areas. But, as it’s made to be a show-off pair, that’s probably a bit intended!
Of the seven or eight Ergowear pairs that I own, I’ve reviewed fiveofthem thus far; one owned but not yet reviewed is the Feel Suave Mink Bikini, which I plan to give a full review for in the future, though admittedly it’ll be pretty similar to the Feel Suave Mink Miduct I’ve already reviewed.
However, right here is a great example of the Feel pouch I so love, as this fine specimen of a man is modeling a Feel Suave Mink Bikini himself and really filling that pouch out! Look at how well it cups under the family jewels… The Suave material also just simply feels great against the skin.
As much as I like the Feel pouch, I will say that the Midcut and the Thong (which I also own) really provide a ton of great support; the Bikini here, somewhat surprisingly, doesn’t hug & support your junk quite as well IMO. Maybe I’ll post a visual comparison in the future, but I think the reason is that the Feel pouch does better when it follows the V-lines more – which the Midcut and Thong do, while the Bikini here has the pouch spanning nearly from hip to hip. The wider pouch thus has a bit more “openness” in the horizontal direction. Maybe you like that, maybe you don’t! I personally prefer the Feel pouch on the Midcut and Thong.
That said, this is still an amazing Bikini brief! Also one of my favorite pairs.
Material: 50% Polyester, 50% Rayon, a very lightweight & breathable combination, while staying quite soft to the touch =-) Aesthetic: This “beach short” looks more to me like something you’d wear to bed or wear around the house on a lazy weekend day – and that’s a compliment! The professional pics are great, with the thigh-hugging-but-still-somehow-laid-back legs going all the way down to the knees, highlighted by those great horizontal stripes. That look is mostly preserved on me as well, although you can already see that the legs don’t go all the way down to my knees, and I’ll get there later. The front is kinda flat, but it allows for a small bulge to show, and the “flat” look is counteracted by the stripes, which is nice. Waistband: Interesting design on this waistband: there’s a clear drawstring through the middle of the waistband, with hems a little ways on either side of it, almost giving the waistband a striped look itself, even if it’s only in texture and all the same color. The very very top of the waistband is kinda stiffer/harder than the rest, which is an odd feel. It doesn’t feel like it rides low when you’re standing up, (even though you can see V-lines in the professional pics and even the edges of my hip lines above,) but when you sit, the back of the waistband feels like it’s pulled down quite a bit. (This might be more a factor of my personal dimensions than part of the design, though, since sitting emphasizes the curve of the ass…) Pouch: There is no pouch to speak of as the pair is flat-front. The pair is fairly tight, so you’ll get a fairly clear bump whether you wear your willie down (as in the pics above) or up (in which case your balls will show as well). If you don’t tie off the drawstring, though, it will mask the bulge a little bit too, so it all depends on your comfort level (both how you like your junk and how much you want to show off). Unfortunately, with this being essentially a boxer, there’s absolutely no lower-support for your balls, which is fine for looser boxers but definitely feels weird with a tighter pair like these (since they hold you in place in front but not below). Backside: Looks pretty good! The design of the pair is a smoother top-to-bottom intent, so it minimizes instead of highlights your curves. As such, I think this pair is designed for guys that don’t have an ass (especially with the waistband-getting-pulled-down issue). There’s a tag hanging from the back of the waistband, but it’s very soft and lightweight, so there’s no problem there. Legs: Not only is this pair designed from guys with no ass, but I think it’s designed for guys with thinner thighs too. The biggest thing I noticed when first pulling it on was that it did NOT want to stretch around my thighs. (That made it hard to pull all the way up, which didn’t help the lack-of-ball-support issue). This probably explains how the pair doesn’t quiiiiite reach my knees, as some of the length is instead going into a horizontal stretch – and, maybe sadly, the pair now looks stretched when not on me.
Exacerbating this was the fact that, even as most of the pair ultimately got to fitting me, (stretching aside,) the lowest hems of the legs are NOT stretchy at all. As much as I want this pair to be great for loungewear or sleepwear as it looks and feels like it should, these tight hems add a level of discomfort that makes both of those somewhat untenable. Overall: 2.5/5 – I really, really wish I could give this pair a 4/5 or higher, especially since I think these would be amazing for someone with the right body type. However, that body type is clearly not my body type, so I just can’t rate them too highly. Great for: Sexy wear Good for: Loungewear, Sleepwear
Emporio Armani is one of those brands you hear about in mainstream parlance a bit more often, usually because they do a lot more than just underwear. Here, though, you can see they do underwear very well! The solid color is executed well here, looking much more bold than bland, and it does a good job of helping to show off the front pouch as well, which looks like it has a great shape (and is not something you can tell just looking at Armani’s website, since they just show the pairs laid flat instead of modeled).
Also, the brief is paired here with this hoodie-vest-thing, and I’ve always had a weak spot for pairing underwear with other articles of clothing…. It’s also executed very nicely here! ^//^
Dunno what brand this is, but I love the “modern art” look!
I don’t think I’ve reviewed (or bought) Marco Marco before, and it’s a designer I’ve always had my eye on somewhat – and with how fun this particular pair is, you can probably see why!
The print(?) pattern here is one of Marco Marco’s most colorful, what with the strong contrast between blue and white in the background stripes, layered with pink flamingos and red vertical stripes on each seam. Even when Marco Marco goes simpler than this, their color choice is usually pretty impactful anyway, as are their distinctive waistbands. (That bright pink pair with telltale waistband I couldn’t identify before? Also Marco Marco.) In fact, this “Nautical” design with the blue stripes and pink flamingos can get even more fun on Marco Marco’s “Half Moon” Brief design as opposed to this regular brief. 😉
And that’s a good segue into discussion about the cut/structure of this pair! One other thing that I’ve always noticed about Marco Marco – aside from its eye-catching colors, prints, and waistbands – is that most Marco Marco pairs have a nicely-shaped pouch as well. It’s more noticeable on their “Core” briefs, which are solid color and show off the shape of the pouch a bit more, but you can still see even on this Nautical brief that the pouch comes outward very nicely!
I can’t tell what brand this is or exactly what kind of cut, but DAMN if that isn’t a great pouch and fun print!
This Teamm8 “Super Low” blue brief is shown in a way I rarely see here on Tumblr, with multiple angles that really are taken with the intent of showing off the underwear itself instead of the guy wearing it – so major props to this Teamm8 lover! (Who TBH doesn’t look bad themselves, in a very nice “average Joe” kind of way.)
The Aussie brand doesn’t seem to have a ton of options, with this “Super Low” brief and a “classic” brief being the more practical options, in contrast with Teamm8′s “Aerial” briefs and jockstraps, which have more dynamic designs and some fun mesh inclusions.
Anyway, as the more everyday side of Teamm8, these briefs have a simple pouch that has a very basic shape, nothing to really show off but still looks good if/as you fill it out. The backside goes for full coverage, which is common among more functionally-oriented briefs, and does a pretty good job of it – here, it gives a fairly nice (though not in-your-face) bubble butt look, with a bit of that extra curve/separation between the legs.
Idea that’s been floating around in the back of my mind for a while…
With as much underwear as I buy, I’m going to get pairs that don’t fit me well, that I just don’t like for whatever reason, or pairs that sit unworn for extended periods of time. None of these are objectively “bad” pairs of underwear, (though there might be some I really do recommend against, but that should be rare,) so in theory other people might enjoy them even if I don’t.
Would people be interested in maybe buying some of my old pairs? They’ll always been clean and, unless they’re an older pair that’s simply fallen out of rotation, will be essentially unworn. I’d probably price them slightly under whatever I paid for them.
