This pic is a great example of what Sukrew (a.k.a. the Sexual Unity Krew) is known for – incredible pouches that make you look absolutely hung! The red pouch here has such a telltale shape to it, complete with what appears to be a bit of pleating on the sides so as to help sculpt the shape Sukrew is going for. Solid red is always a bold, powerful, and attention-grabbing choice; the Sukrew logo is also quite stylish. Excellent brief here! (Or maybe one of their thongs? I can’t tell from this view; not that I’m complaining here.)

I’ll be reviewing two Sukrew pairs of my own in the coming month, so keep and eye out for those! I actually bought an order of four Sukrew pairs not long before I had gone inactive last time, so there are definitely part of the collection now and very fun (even if the pandemic has meant I haven’t had the chance to show them off to anyone yet…)

Tentative winter post schedule

Hi all! With all of the pairs I have to review from my recent orders and some backlog, I think what I’m going to do I schedule thorough reviews of my posts for Saturdays and Tuesday, and then maybe post reblog reviews on Thusdays (which gives me the opportunity to maybe indulge in “Thirsty Thursdays” every once in a while). Hope that sounds good! And I’ll do my best to stick to it.

2xist – Pima Knit Boxer – White – M

067

(I seem to have misplaced the pictures, but what they hey, I’ll take more soon and pop ’em in here)

Material: 100% Cotton, and it feels so good =-) Nice and soft, exactly what you’d expect of 100% cotton, with a good thickness to match. Comfortable but not extensive amount of stretch to the fabric itself, but you don’t expect that for true boxers anyway, nor of 100% cotton; it’s exactly what it’s supposed to be.
Aesthetic: Hard to get more classic and simple than unadorned white. The only semi-noticeable feature is the logo on a small loop of extra fabric at the belt-buckle position on the waistband, which is a classy, reserved touch. With nothing else to look at, it’s worth pointing out that the button of the fly is simple as well, just a small disc of white plastic, which is good because anything bigger, more shaped, or colored would not look like a match to the rest of the pair.
Waistband: Great stretch, good height, and very soft and comfy with a thin layer of sort-of-pleated fabric covering the actual waistband itself. The tag at the back of the waistband is very soft as well, so this pair is all about comfort.
Pouch: NA, since it’s a true boxer. While I would consider this a traditionally loose true boxer versus a more modern tight-fit true boxer, there is definitely an element of keeping the front relatively flat, i.e. it’s not as incredibly loose as it potentially could be. That said, the fabric is so soft that your junk will love the feeling.
Backside: Also NA since it’s a true boxer. While it is a traditionally loose pair, there is a hint of shape back here as well. The “side” seams are actually a little to the back, which provides a nice framing to your ass in these boxers.
Legs: I do rather like the length on these, and again these are somewhere in between a really loose traditional boxer and modern tight one, so the legs aren’t constraining at all, but they also aren’t likely to bunch up in your pants.
Other: I liked this pair so much when I got it, I ordered a second white Pima boxer and a blue Pima boxer. For the life of me, I can’t find the blue pair anywhere, and that makes me sad. That said, the boxers currently for sale on 2xist’s site are slightly different that those I have – notably the placement of the brand name.
Overall: 5/5 – as far as boxers go, I think this is about as good as you can get, which is why I’ve bought three of them. That said, boxers aren’t for everyone, and some people like the tighter boxers – but if you like traditional-fit boxers, these should be your go-to.
Great for: Loungewear, Sleepwear
Good for: Everyday wear

Modus Vivendi – Flag Jockstrap – Blue – L

066

Material: 95% Viscose, 5% Elastane, and very velvet-y! The pouch, that is. And it’s reeeaaally soft and plush. The straps are more your typical elastic, and between them you’ve got some vinyl siding with the metallic studs punched in.
Aesthetic: I’ve seen this pair described as “rock star” before, and IDK? The velvety sheen on the pouch, plus the jet black middle strap, is certainly distinctive at least. The color scheme overall is bright and bold while still remaining simple – only one color aside from black or white, and it’s not an outlandish shade either. Same for that little rubber brand tag up front, the shiny vinyl bands on the side of the pouch, and the metal studs holding the straps on (they do go completely through the vinyl and touch the skin).
Waistband: No real waistband here – what you’d call the waistband is just one of the three straps that goes around the back. It feels about like what you’d expect the normal-strap material would feel if it was around your waist instead of under/across your cheeks. I think the intent is for the black strap to be a second half of the waistband, but I’m considering it as its own strap.
Pouch: The pouch isn’t incredibly shaped, but it’s so, so soft! The velvety feel is more on the outside that on the insde, but it’s still incredibly comfortable. The fabric is somewhat on the medium-thick side, which probably is why it feels so cushion-y.
Backside/Straps: As mentioned above, theleg/cheek straps are fairly expected for “comfort” jockstraps. Small and soft as they are, the leg straps do fold over themselves somewhat, at least with the noticeable fold I have between my glutes and hammies, but they’re soft enough that this folding doesn’t cause any problems. What’s unique about this pair, obviously, is the extra horizontal strap that goes between the leg straps and the “waistband”. I’m not entirely sure how it’s intended to be worn – higher-up (almost like a shadow waistband) to leave the ass exposed, or directly across the middle of your cheeks to draw the eye there. The only promotional images I’ve been able to find suggest the former, but the friend who gifted me this pair (and took these pictures) thought the latter looked better, and I think I enjoy both alignments. You could probably even wear them low if you want to! I’m not sure what kind of look or feel that would accomplish though.

Other: I don’t know how long ago my friend bought this pair, but I was quite lucky to find that link above; these don’t seem to be available at all any more. Which is a shame, because these certainly are fun! (Shout out to @davin-w on tumblr, said friend, who I’ve also mentioned in my old MAL2018 posts.)
Overall: 4.5/5 – although somewhat impractical, they are honestly rather comfy, so the sexy look is just a bonus in that sense. I’m honestly almost tempted to do a 5/5, but I haven’t tried wearing this pair for an extended period of time yet to see how it deals with a full day of movement.
Great for: Sexy wear
Good for: Loungewear(?), Sex wear(?), Everyday wear(??)

Recent orders

First: I have two reviews almost ready to put online, one of which will be posted this weekend! Not sure what my schedule will be going forward, but I’m looking forward to this, and hope to write a review at least weekly.

Next: I have to admit that I’ve treated myself a bit over the past two or three months in terms of purchasing new pairs. X-D Here’s a preview of them all, at least one pair per order:

For the record, the brands shown above are:
(Chinese brand, faux Garcon Model/Marco Marco?)
Blanc [2 not pictured]
Andrew Christian
Sheath
AOElement
(Chinese brand)
VeniMasee [1 not pictured]
Breedwell
WangJiang
Separatec [3 not pictured]
Ergowear
AlphaBox [1 not pictured]

It’s ambitious, but I’m hoping to write reviews for most or all of these pairs! Take care, everyone. =-)

New posts hopefully soon

After well over a year, I think I might have the time and bandwidth to start making reviews again! I’m hoping I can do a higher proportion of my own reviews versus the random pics I share, but we’ll see what works.

I don’t have a full-time job at the moment, which helps with having time. X-D Also, I may actually get a move on the idea I’ve previously floated in selling pairs that I don’t want anymore, whether because I got the wrong size or don’t like the look or are just bored with. So if you want anything you’ve seen here – or others – you might have a chance soon!

I love seeing really traditional-looking jockstraps like this! That telltale pouch material, the really-tall waistbands… It’s a nice look! And the solid red here is bold look without being too loud, too.

I first encountered Gruff Pup as a distribution site for other brands, generally along the Nasty Pig line of thought, but soon discovered that they do in fact have their own items to sell as well. I have one of their singlets that I keep meaning to review at some point…

Thirsty Thursday 9/19

I hadn’t heard of J.J. Malibu before, so I decided to go look at their website… And even with the mesh here, this is probably one of the tamest pairs they have to offer! Seriously, go check their underwear options out. Lots of fun imagery right in the fun zone of each pair. X-D It looks like like J.J. Malibu is kind of a Canadian version of Andrew Christian, with some of the blogs and the videos they make…

Anyway, these here are one of the “mesh boxers” that J.J. Malibu has to offer. Mesh itself is always fun, and even without a rooster, pig, or penguin right on the bulge, there’s certainly a nice amount of bulge there with not much left to the imagination… And, of course, mesh is generally fun to have as well! Short legs, too, which I personally don’t like to wear as much, but they look good on guys like this.

…you know, I wasn’t feeling very thirsty writing any of that above, but re-reading those paragraphs makes me think I’m moving this to be a Thursday post, just from some of the wording that popped up. X-D

The lighting here makes the pair look reddish, but the site lists it as “coral”. The short legs are also shorter than J.J. Malibu’s other “mesh boxers” – difference between the originals and the 2.0 boxers. Of note, uses the “four-way stretch” that I’ve seen an mentioned on a few previous pairs.

Phil City is a brand by model Philip Fusco… And I can’t find much info about it. X-D Between this pic and others on his FB page, it seems like a fairly straightforward brand. Mostly solid colors, no out-there cuts – though you definitely can see mesh on this red brief here. (At least I think it’s a brief. It’s definitely low-rise, based on the amount of hip you can see above the waistband in this pic here.) It might be jock-inspired, with what little view of the under-back-panel we can see here too. Seems like an okay line? I’d have to judge the material to be sure.

In a bit of a theme for the rest of my posts this week, I’ll be showing off brands I’ve never really seen (or at least never really reviewed) before. First off, Baldrick Benjamin! Which seems like a very small-scale operation – almost like a one-man show, especially since the website doesn’t seem formatted incredibly well.

Anyway, the pair here shows of a very nice pouch, so it seems like a nicely supportive pair. It could be the lighting as well, but the pictures of the Magnificence Trunk on the site also seem to be universally shaped (and filled). The material looks stretchy and slick, which makes sense since it’s listed as 96% Modal and 4% Spandex. Might be worth looking in to.
