Just a guy sharing his love for underwear of all kinds!
Tag: Jockstrap
I wish the outside tag showing on this jockstrap was more legible, because this is honestly a kinda cute little pair! Sort of like what you would expect of a totally non-kinky office worker trying to branch out with a sexy jockstrap. X-D Or maybe not even trying to be sexy but trying to be “sporty”, because this certainly has a somewhat “buttoned-up” look to it with the reserved horizontal red-white-and-blue stripes across the pouch! The solid red, almost shiny waistband also gives off an air of someone who’s less interested in physical activity (or even “looking” for physical activity) and more trying to balance their own desire to have the comfort & freedom of a jockstrap with their desire to fit in with climbing the ladder. That is, it’s more a pair that is intended to give the wearer a personal confidence boost and to actually show off. Still, I think it definitely looks good on its own! Hard to go wrong with a nice, reserved red-white-and-blue design!
Material: 95% Viscose, 5% Elastane, and very velvet-y! The pouch, that is. And it’s reeeaaally soft and plush. The straps are more your typical elastic, and between them you’ve got some vinyl siding with the metallic studs punched in. Aesthetic: I’ve seen this pair described as “rock star” before, and IDK? The velvety sheen on the pouch, plus the jet black middle strap, is certainly distinctive at least. The color scheme overall is bright and bold while still remaining simple – only one color aside from black or white, and it’s not an outlandish shade either. Same for that little rubber brand tag up front, the shiny vinyl bands on the side of the pouch, and the metal studs holding the straps on (they do go completely through the vinyl and touch the skin). Waistband: No real waistband here – what you’d call the waistband is just one of the three straps that goes around the back. It feels about like what you’d expect the normal-strap material would feel if it was around your waist instead of under/across your cheeks. I think the intent is for the black strap to be a second half of the waistband, but I’m considering it as its own strap. Pouch: The pouch isn’t incredibly shaped, but it’s so, so soft! The velvety feel is more on the outside that on the insde, but it’s still incredibly comfortable. The fabric is somewhat on the medium-thick side, which probably is why it feels so cushion-y. Backside/Straps: As mentioned above, theleg/cheek straps are fairly expected for “comfort” jockstraps. Small and soft as they are, the leg straps do fold over themselves somewhat, at least with the noticeable fold I have between my glutes and hammies, but they’re soft enough that this folding doesn’t cause any problems. What’s unique about this pair, obviously, is the extra horizontal strap that goes between the leg straps and the “waistband”. I’m not entirely sure how it’s intended to be worn – higher-up (almost like a shadow waistband) to leave the ass exposed, or directly across the middle of your cheeks to draw the eye there. The only promotional images I’ve been able to find suggest the former, but the friend who gifted me this pair (and took these pictures) thought the latter looked better, and I think I enjoy both alignments. You could probably even wear them low if you want to! I’m not sure what kind of look or feel that would accomplish though.
Other: I don’t know how long ago my friend bought this pair, but I was quite lucky to find that link above; these don’t seem to be available at all any more. Which is a shame, because these certainly are fun! (Shout out to @davin-w on tumblr, said friend, who I’ve also mentioned in my old MAL2018posts.) Overall: 4.5/5 – although somewhat impractical, they are honestly rather comfy, so the sexy look is just a bonus in that sense. I’m honestly almost tempted to do a 5/5, but I haven’t tried wearing this pair for an extended period of time yet to see how it deals with a full day of movement. Great for: Sexy wear Good for: Loungewear(?), Sex wear(?), Everyday wear(??)
I love seeing really traditional-looking jockstraps like this! That telltale pouch material, the really-tall waistbands… It’s a nice look! And the solid red here is bold look without being too loud, too.
I first encountered Gruff Pup as a distribution site for other brands, generally along the Nasty Pig line of thought, but soon discovered that they do in fact have their own items to sell as well. I have one of their singlets that I keep meaning to review at some point…
This C-in2 pair really intrigues me… I can’t tell if it’s a normal brief, a bikini brief, or a jockstrap, but I really like the look, whatever it is especially with the powder blue color. In particular, it has a really tall waistband, which is something you typically see in jockstraps – but the fabric of the pouch and the waistband itself both seem was softer and more cotton-y than anything you’d see jockstraps typically use.
For a brand named “Jockmail”, you’d expect them to mostly make jocks – but here’s what looks to be a very jockstrap-like bikini brief! Specifically, this is the “JM304” on Jockmail’s website, and they do specifically call it an “almost jockstrap design”. All that’s different is that the space bounded by what would otherwise be your straps is instead one entire (though obviously not full-coverage) back panel.
The waistband here looks like it has a nice height to it, and the pouch has a nice round shape to it, so I’d certainly try it out! The plain single color works here with the white brand title on the waistband, as it’s a strong hue, giving the pair a simple-but-bold look.
Speaking of that pouch… I’ve shared a Jockmail pic before, a jockstrap (the JM203) with a MUCH bigger bulge! The pouch there also seems to be made with some breathable mesh panels on the sides, which sounds like it’d be nice and breathable for exercise (or other vigorous activity). Not sure if it would pass my squat test, though.
These jockstrap are from Bluebuck, a London-based apparel company, and caught my attention with what appear to be fairly generous pouches – not something you always see in jockstraps, which are meant to hold you in! Particularly hefty guy on the right aside, most Bluebuck underwear (jockstrap and more) do support you quite well.
One thing that I’m noticing with these jockstrap, though, is that the waistband seems to have a “pouch” section, and then a “rest of the waistband” section – there’s some angling that happens on the inside of the hips that I believe is more than just the geometry of the body, and it keeps distracting me.
All said, Bluebuck seems like a great brand overall, with some nice, soft, comfy fabrics all-around. If shipping&handling weren’t too much of an issue, I’d certainly try some of these out! Particularly their nautical trunks…
Here we have a white Timoteo jockstrap and Adidas socks, with what looks like a nice mesh on the pouch of the jockstrap. I’m not sure if the socks (with their stripes in particular and with their logos) work as an outfit with the jock itself, but when you throw in the tatts and the blanket, it all honestly works pretty well together. Props to the photographer for the composition here.
As for the jockstrap itself, you can see the mesh pouch as a nice shape to it, and the waistband has a nice look to it with the typical TIMOTEO branding around the entire thing. I’m intrigued by the mesh of the pouch, too… Looks like it might be two-layer mesh, with fairly small holes, which I would personally think would be fairly comfortable and breathable while also giving nice support. I’m interested in getting this pair!
I’ve mentioned before that BIKE and GYM are largely known for their jockstraps, particularly on the underwear side of Tumblr and Twitter. They’re enough of my “likes” on Tumblr that, in addition to the nine pics I posted last time, they’ve just kept piling up… So here are some more, GYM above and BIKE below!
I don’t think I’ve looked at anything from Skyy before, but this jockstrap is a nice first look! I always like a striped waistband, and that looks like a pretty solid pouch. (Maybe slightly mesh-y or traditional jockstrap material?) This guy should have blue-striped socks instead of red-striped socks, though; everything else about the “outfit” really works with that jock!
Introducing my first review of a full line of underwear! Or, in this case, two very closely related lines.
Here is a collection of GYM- and BIKE-branded jockstraps. I don’t have full verification, but I strongly believe that the GYM jocks and BIKE jocks are from the same producer, as even between the two lines, you can clearly see two specific styles of jockstrap. In one style, the line name is in bold, obviously letters on a medium-height waistband, while in the other style, the line name is limited to the tag with a very tall, striped waistband; in either case, the straps of the jockstrap are attached on the outside of the waistband and the pouch with that highly textured, traditional jockstrap pouch material.
All in all, very strong sexy looks from the entire pair of lines! As popular as these jockstraps seem to be, I don’t own a pair of either line myself…
